Waistband width preferences?

The more I learn, the more I need to learn! As an overthinker by nature, I’d love even MORE advice. So here goes…what are your waistband width preferences? I see mainly 2” and 3” bands on your pics, and I like the feel, but am unsure of the swimmer. I’ve tried a couple of them on and am not sure of their appeal. I wear jeans, Levi’s twill, and a belted airline uniform pant. What works best with swimmers? I love your advice and keep wondering where you jocked men have been all my life. 😃

...the wider waistbands make you feel more confident that they will keep everything *up-and-in-place*...as
they should!.....most of my jockstrap-collection is 2 to 3 inch waistbands (which I do feel are *more-comfortable)!...with a few swimmer-jockstraps for when I feel a little bolder!...and, I`m not as worried about my big-balls not getting all-the-support-they-can!

I love the 1" swimmer style the best. (I never wear them for swimming, I wear only competition swimming briefs for swimming.) I also have quite a few with a 2" waistband, and they're usually suitable for me as well. I don't really like most of the ones with a 3" waistband, they feel itchy and sweaty to me. Possibly in my case it's because I didn't grow up in the "age of jockstraps", but I've been wearing swimming briefs since I was 8 yrs old. I like a snug athletic fit, and prefer wearing "low-rise" styles of jockstraps and swim briefs.

The lower the rise on a speedo the better. Love to see pubes showing.

A bit late to the party here but another perspective from our customers and 18 years of selling jocks, but...

Some larger guys have told me that the wider bands tend to fold over on them. And then from an Aesthetics point of view, some people feel swimmer jocks look better on shorter slimmer guys and bigger, taller or heftier guys can pull off a 3 inch better.

Honestly, it all comes down to personal preference. There are no rules - just wear the style that works best for you.

All these responses have been so helpful. So far I have 2 and 3 inch jocks, but will add a couple of swimmers at some point. The 2-3 seem more “user friendly” for jeans and other pants I have to wear for work. I have to tuck in a button down under a belt. That’s where the width helps. Plus in jeans, you might get a sneaky peeky. 😝

Most of mine are either the classic 3” or the more modern 2” although I do have a few with narrow waistbands such as traditional swimmers or 2xist. The 3” remind me the most of the high school and college locker rooms and offer a great secure fit plus the obvious waistband showing. I’ve kind of gravitated to the 2” for daily wear though because the waistband is still substantial enough but a little more comfortable for all day wear.
