Waistband width preferences?

The more I learn, the more I need to learn! As an overthinker by nature, I’d love even MORE advice. So here goes…what are your waistband width preferences? I see mainly 2” and 3” bands on your pics, and I like the feel, but am unsure of the swimmer. I’ve tried a couple of them on and am not sure of their appeal. I wear jeans, Levi’s twill, and a belted airline uniform pant. What works best with swimmers? I love your advice and keep wondering where you jocked men have been all my life.

I never thought the peeking band would be a thing but yeah it is!

I am a 3" waistband jockstrap guy. For me the pouch is more anchored than a 1.5-2" waistband or even a swimmer's strap. Swimmer's strap under my swim trunks just because it holds my junk and I do not have much shifting in the pool. Never loved the narrower strap of BIKE and wanted a 3" strap and was glad when they made one again. McDavid with the narrow strap took some getting used to. At the beginning I felt like they made a youth strap for an adult.

Almost all of my jocks are 3 inch as that is what I prefer. I do have a couple of swimmers and 2-inch straps just for variety though.

I find the 3 is great with jeans. The 2 and 3 are good for the uniform. Maybe the 1 would work with shorts but it’s much cooler outside now. I need the width to keep my undershirt and button down in place while I work.

I thought I’d be self conscious about the band showing above my Levis but I’m not at all. My thought is if you’re looking…maybe you’ll see something.

I started with a 3 inch width with hard cup, this width has become comfortable for me, I am used to it. After that, I already felt the narrower sqeese me. Then I bought a 6 and a 7,5 inch, but they looks like more like back protectors than jockstraps.

I love to see the waistband or any part of a man's jock show in public . One day I saw a guy on his bike and I could see the waistband in back . He had no shirt on and it was showing above his shorts. I got in my car and followed him. Sometimes the t or tank will ride up and the shorts will sag down a little, exposing the waistband. If it shows, it shows. If someone sees it and doesn't like it, then so be it. If someone sees it and does like it? That could be a different story all together!

Wide band for me also. The wide band jock is just more secure and stays in place..... doing it's job. Swimmer jocks often feel like they are falling down.

Sometimes the t or tank will ride up and the shorts will sag down a little, exposing the waistband. If it shows, it shows. If someone sees it and doesn't like it, then so be it. If someone sees it and does like it? That could be a different story all together!

Both of us agree that swimmer-style bands just don’t have the sufficiency to heft the goods and sag, as you suggested.

I like the 3 inch waistband, again just because it stays put. Moving around and bending squatting makes compression shorts ride up your waist and give u a wedgie, and forget about a swimmers jock holding a cup in place, not happening.

.....yeah, man!...in response to your question about "what`s best to wear with swimmers?"...I assume you are referring to the very-narrow-waistband *swimmer* jockstraps...I believe the best things are the pull-on, lightweight, elastic-waist shorts...or, a Speedo...something very similar, that`s small, short, and very lightweight (much like the cotton, very- lightweight gym-shorts we wore for "phys-ed" in school...some of those short-shorts were nylon...please, let us know (with-photos) what you decide-on.....Thanks, buddy!,.....JAKE

I prefer swimmer jocks… for biking, gym, and general wear.
