Waistband width preferences?

The more I learn, the more I need to learn! As an overthinker by nature, I’d love even MORE advice. So here goes…what are your waistband width preferences? I see mainly 2” and 3” bands on your pics, and I like the feel, but am unsure of the swimmer. I’ve tried a couple of them on and am not sure of their appeal. I wear jeans, Levi’s twill, and a belted airline uniform pant. What works best with swimmers? I love your advice and keep wondering where you jocked men have been all my life. 😃

Unfortunately no, I would love it if someone commented just while working out or something and I'd totally strike up a conversation about it. I have had quite a few curious looks when changing in the locker room though. I used to be a lot more shy about hiding it, but now I proudly change in and out of my jocks in there. My gym isn't huge though and my current area is still unfortunately pretty conservative, so I'm still waiting on someone to say something to me directly about it.

Do any of you guys have lace up jocks? They’re so hot! I’d use them at home so I think a 3” would be a bit much for that….so swimmer or 2”?

I do have a lace up jock! Mine is Jockmail which I know has some mixed reviews, but I thankfully haven't had any complaints. They are really hot though. One of my go to outfits at my old gym was a lace up jock and spandex tights with a hoodie. I loved it because I let the tops of the laces hang out from my tights, and everyone knows regular spandex tights don't have laces.

I have a little bit of a belly, but a 3" strap is still for me. I think Goldberg somehow takes this into consideration but not sure how since when I fold then the waistband still looks flat. Have always worn a 3" strap (well maybe 2.5 with the BIKE youth). The only time I wear a narrow band is under my swim trunks.

No that is a brand. I fold my jockstraps to put them in the drawer, I keep the waistband flat and then fold the pouch under. The Goldberg straps do end up folded more traditionally since the waistband does not have as much give and is much bigger than BIKE.
