Joining the gym would give you more credibility, but you don't need an excuse. If you join the gym to make an excuse for wearing a jock, it will show. We are more transparent than we think. Just wear a jock because you want to. You won't be the only man who wears jocks just because it feels right. Some guys just wear jocks because they feel like Trazan, or a promoidal man. That is "legal" in the male world. It doesn't need any further analysis.

I don't see that you need to have a discussion with your Dad, justifying why you like to wear jocks. Your energy tells more about yourself. Body language is 93% of communication. Our words only count for 7%. What message are you giving? My best advice is just do what you want and BE CONFIDENT.

But I think you could talk more over with us. You really haven't spoken deeply, and the brothers here will understand you, more than your dad can. Do you mostly want to wear a jock because you like to? Or are more wanting to hang around the house with your dad while only wearing a jock, so your Dad sees you and your Dad accepts you? You need to be honest about that with yourself.

Your personal photo is of your ass. So it makes me wonder if you want a jock for your balls, or for the overall comfort, or if you like showing your ass. Whatever your reasons, it will show in your body language. If you are wearing a jock to feel gay, and you want men to admire your pretty butt, your dad will read it and it may be harder for him to be comfortable with you hanging out with your ass showing. He will feel that he failed you.
