IMO, the BIKE Original Banana Cup was one of the best ever made. It was large and roomy and provided great protection. It replaced those terrible 'flat' cups that BIKE used to make and that crushed your balls. I wore the OBC for most sports throughout high school and college and could never understand why they discontinued them. I heard it said that BIKE went for a more contoured cup that made a less pronounced bulge. WTF?
I often wear the Titan Alloy Cup (shown). It is made of an alloy (metal) and provides maximum protection. It does cause me to have a very noticeable bulge in my shorts or baseball pants but i don't care. I've never understood guys who are self-conscious about having a cup bulge. People know I have balls and that I engage in high impact sports, for which I need really heavy duty protection. That's means I wear a cup. Why hide the fact that we are men and need to wear protection? I had someone once make a comment about my 'appearance' and I told him to put his balls on the line and then comment.
When I got my first OBC I remember thinking to myself that Bike finally figured out that guy’s balls are three dimensional, not two. OBC was great in its day, but cups available today are so much better.
