For those of you who wear a cup

What style/brand and model of cup do you wear?
What have you tried?
And what do you prefer?

When did you start wearing a cup, and what made you start?

I'm currently sporting a Shock Doctor bio-flex cup.
I've had the basic three-hole bike hard plastic cup, the bike soft cup (built into the supporter), the modern gray Bike cup, one that came with a goalie jock (don't remember the brand), a Duke 2in1 cup, and an XO Athletic cup. Honestly, I preferred the XO Athletic cup. Gave me the most room compared to the protection, and that was super important for a teenage boy who was always sporting wood.

I started wearing a cup when I found it with a goalie jock, being thrown away with a bunch of hockey equipment. The first one I bought for an actual purpose, was the XO Athletic, bought for soccer when I started high school.

I like the Diamond MMA cup and the Nutty Buddy, they are the most comfortable ones that I have tried,

I have also worn some basic no-name cups and Shock Doctor; they do the job but are not as comfortable.

I started wearing a cup as a teenager. As a boy, I was jealous of my friends who played hockey because they got to wear cups; I didn't play sports so no cup for me.

I wear a cup as everyday underwear. Love the way it looks and feels.

Wore an old school Bike jock (7185?) with the hard white plastic cup for little league As an adult, same Bike style or Shock Dr (Ultra, x-fit) with Bio-flex cup (or titanium) for martial arts. During that time I learned the pro-tip to wear a regular jock under your cup jock to keep everything in place. Having a nut slip out of your cup during combat training is a huge bummer.

Oof that sounds terrible. Usually my jock is tight enough against me. I've never had anything slip.
I'd imagine double strapping gets some nice sweat going though.

I started wearing a cup at about the age of 4 or 5. They were hand me downs from the hockey player neighbor boys. It was a Cooper cup and jock. When I started playing mites and little league, dad switched me to an old school Bike. As I went through baseball and hockey, I progressed through all the Bike cup jocks and cups. I've tried Shock Doctor too. But during men's league hockey in my 40's I learned of the Nutty Buddy. I will never wear anything else. I also play men's league lacrosse and it is the most comfortable cup I have ever had to wear while running. Hands down, no question! And as soon as my man parts grew during puberty, a standard Bike jock underneath was a must! I don't wear a cup for anything but sports, I have never seen anything exciting about it. A regular sports jock on the other hand is irresistible! The sweatier the better!

I've actually gone and put a small plastic bag over my cup before putting it in my jock, just to help keep the heat up and increase the sweat. I wasn't concerned with knocking anyone up at the time, and just wanted more sweat.
I recall them made more of a cellophane than plastic but my Kendall distributor (BIKE Jocks) carried a disposable item called "sanitary envelopes" for encasing cups during sports and PE classes at schools which provided freshly laundered cup jocks for students. This was due to the fact there was no way to clean the foam rubber cushion surrounding the school supplied cups. Although not intended to increase crotch sweat, they certainly did just that by blocking all of the vent holes in the cups. Keep in mind that some of the baseball uniforms into the 1970's were still made of wool, so on hot days, baseball players, especially catchers had some sweat soaked britches after a long game or a double header. Lowered sperm count was unknown in that era, but most athletes spent most of their time packing their peckers into their jocks, rather than into the "fun bays" of their girlfriends.

It's actually not a bad idea these days either. Less likely to get the girlfriend pregnant if you're celebrating a big win on the football field.

I wish schools still provided jocks and cups.

I love the Diamond MMA cup and compression shorts. Superb protection and I've taken direct strikes and literally not felt a thing. The cup is incredibly comfortable and the compression shorts contain a built-in jockstrap which keeps the cup firmly in place. It's expensive but when I put one on I don't have to worry about the cup shifting or one of my balls falling out.

I still think you should get you a cup from Nutshellz.

Worn a cup all through middle school and high school for sports. Used the most basic no name cups during that time. When I was playing football and soccer in high school, I found out about the nutty buddy. I've had one for awhile now. I was recently using it when I did armed security for a grocery store. Too many Christian woman would stare, and complained. Went to wearing a shock doctor for a more "modest" look. Hated wearing that brand. Felt too cramped compared to the nutty buddy.

When gun violence started picking up in the city I live in, found out about Nutshellz. Bought the bullet proof cup. I really don't want to lose my pecker This is the sticker that came with buying their cup and jock shorts.

Does the compression short have straps in it?
