Does anyone here remember the catalogue from "Ah Men'? "International Male?" "Undergear? Did anyone ever buy anything from these catalogues?

Ah Men and International Male featured underwear, swimwear and what might charitably called "leisurewear" as well as a few sex toys and coffee table books of male nudes. Undergear focused on underwear. I sent 25 cents in to get a Ah Men catalogue. I was 12 at time and didn't quite understand all the descriptions of the items. I think Ah Men was located in Los Angeles.

International Male begat Undergear. Both were a part of a large mail order business out of Hanover, Pennsylvania. International Male had a campy reputation. Both International Male and Undergear were eventually available on newsstands.

The parent companies of these catalogues went out of business.

I was in high school and a friends mother had them mailed to her house. She gave them to her son who was gay but I never knew it when we in school together. He gave me about 3 or 4 of them and they had sexy men in sexy underwear . Some of the stuff was just over the top but it was the 70s. I never ordered anything from them.

I remember this iconic magazine, that was supposedly for the fashionable man. It was full of clothing that was usually over the top fashions with a strong gay overtone..
I bought a few pieces from this magazine that were more masculine in nature, but the magazine models didn't always portrait that.

I seem to recall purchasing from International Male or Undergear back in the 1980s. I believe one item I did get was the unique US Sock Jock which had no leg straps. You had to have a good-sized, low-hanging scrotum to wear it, however. I do remember using the catalogs as bate fuel.

I got that as well & still have it. Last I ordered anything from either was probably in the early 90's

I bought several items from Ah Men, international Male, and Parr of Arizona. I really liked their stuff.

Both Adrian and myself both got the International Male catalogs - and ordered from them. It was part of my jerk-off material back in the day and the start of my underwear fetish.
International Male definitely made an impression on my young mind. I did order something once and it was so poorly made, I decided reading the catalog was the better option. 😂

That is the one that I had also!

I came across an Ah Men catalog at the Academy as a cadet. While I wasn’t much into the styles and selection of merchandise, the models were all fuckable, and the memory stuck with me. So much so that when I was much later posted to Pendleton and took some leave and went up to LA, Ah Men was on my roadmap. I went to a seedy West Hollywood apartment with two hot bitches and returned to duty drained and exhausted!

I remember IM and Undergear well. Lots of masturbatory fantasies. It was also featured in Boys Life—a series of short films about being gay

I would buy GQ and Muscle and Fitness in high school to flip to the ads in the back for Undergear and International Male. In college in LA I subscribed to both, and Koala, and others. When I got a car I went for an interview and saw the IM retail store in West Hollywood. IM, Jim Palmer, Greg Louganis and Calvin Klein introduction of briefs confirmed my gear fetishes!

I forgot to mention that when I moved to Atlanta I joined the big gay gym, then worked nights to have some extra cash and workout for free. The Prevail Sport Catalog Models were the owner, and a few members. Yeah, just a bit of inspiration to work out harder. haha!

That’s working out harder, and there’s working out HARD — one can be quite . . . awkward. 😈🐷
