Horny as fuck all the time
I have that same question about wearing a jockstrap under a padded jersey as the padding pushes away from my body and then the boys migrate and get caught between my thigh and seat. I’ve found I prefer cycling suits that really hold the suit up there then bib shorts (better than jersey not as up there as a cycling suit) but the boys still move around. Anyone have any experience with this and low hangers that tend to roam? I tend to cycle 16-20 miles per ride.

Years ago when I was big into cycling I would wear a Cool Max spandex jock under my cycling shorts. It worked well keeping my testicles up close and out of the way.

I got out of cycling for a few years but got back to it. When I pulled my Cool Max jock out of the drawer it had dry rotted and fell apart in my hands.

Gave me an excuse to jock shopping👍

Now I use a Chinese brand spandex jock I bought of Amazon.

When I go MT biking yes I wear a jockstrap. No I do not wear bicycling shorts since they stretch out and provide no support after about 10 minutes. Heck the other day I was in the office and wore my favorite Boxer-Briefs (jockey). I soon found out my nuts were once again sticking to my legs. Yes I know our balls drop with age but a jockstrap really keeps everything in place.

I always do but then I wear gym shorts to ride. I've seen posts where guys won't wear one if they use bike shorts because of the friction within the pouch. Anything to keep the boys from shifting from side to side while you pedal will make for a better ride.

Ditto! When I bike in “street clothes” I always wear a jock - just more comfortable. Ambivalent on wearing with padded lycra bike shorts. They don’t move in those (too tight) but I sometimes wear a jock anyway .

I absolutely tried wearing the padded shorts separately and while my ass didn't get as sore, my balls flopped around after awhile. Only wearing a jock and shorts caused my backside to hurt on long trips, but together really works for me, weird or not.😊

I used to bike about 9 miles to work, and 9 back. I didn't often get to change for the ride back because I usually closed but presuming I wasn't late as shit I could usually shower at work. I biked all seasons, and never owned bike shorts or the bib underwear with a chamois pad though I wish I did. Summer I did often jock up to stay cool for the first ride. I never did get a ohoto if what I looked like jocked and ass up while riding, one of those pairs of shorts I wore was quite thin with a 3" inseam. Sweaty, hairy hole plastered to the stretched shorts, oh my (🍑🌹🍆!) Had to retire those more recently, waist elastic is shot. Did it chafe a bit, yes depending on the jock. My Road Runner jockstrap while otherwise smoother than my Gym jockstrap had leg straps that protruded more, and therefore pushed more into my butt and legs the way I sit. Rolled up and stitched pouch fabric I think. I hate bending at the gut and breathing, which a lot of bicycles seem designed for. I have a touring bike so the frame is stretched out, which makes it even easier for me to bend at the hips for a straighter torso, easier breathing, and more weight distributed through the arms to the handlebars. Consequently with less weight on the padding of the glutes, my sit bones and the leg straps arching under my ass did get more pressure. My bike seat was the anatomical, open split seat style so it dug into the sides of the taint more given my posture, though probably did okay not constricting bloodflow to the genitals.

Bicycling can have jockstrap-specific warddrobe malfunctions. Your seat should be high enough that your legs are at a full enough extension on the down pedal for knee health and powerful enough stride. Therefore you're stepping up and down at stops. If when remounting the seat you don't deliberately hoist yourself and your hips high and forward enough first, the back of the pouch and the joining of the leg straps where it is strung across the gap between the rounded butt cheeks can alarmingly snag, through your shorts, on the nose of the bike seat, thus pulling the jock pouch forward. Unseating your junk as you seat yourself. Keep your wits and your nuts about you! Some people keep a lower seat and just stand at intervals when they want to crank out a powerful stride, I find this idea exhausting for a lengthy commute. I'm sure my taint and sit bones would like the pressure relief, with fewer jockstrap snags as well. Sigh.

I do a lot of bicycle riding. Its funny that I don't wear a jock for its original intended purpose. My bikes have narrow saddles meaning that some of my weight is supported in the middle. I've found that the junction of the butt straps & the pouch is very uncomfortable on my taint when in the saddle. I do wear padded lycra bib-shorts but they lack the genital support that I want. I would like to keep the boys front-and-center on the bike as well.

I’ve been looking at the Castelli cycling suits. Properly fit they keep the boys up and out of the way?
I’m a fan of Castelli. I’ve got a bib and padded shorts combo which I wear with a jersey, but I still wear a jockstrap for comfort.
I’ve also got a couple of pairs of shorts. IMO Castelli are the most comfortable; they’re expensive, but worth it.

I guess I'm lucky that a Golberg works well in conjunction with shorts. I also felt the shorts lacked support.

I also thought about the wildman T ringed jockstrap. That might work for you.
