I have a bunch of the DSCP brown briefs too. Full rise and stiff as a board as they come out of the package. Think they were made by FTL/BVD. Maybe they held up in the laundry in the service but there had to be a lot of raw waists and legs until they got stretched out.

Truly! I ended up washing mine at least a half dozen times and using the dryer on them double that just to get em soft and wearable!

When you're not sporting a jockstrap, what underwear are you wearing?

I usually can be found in regular white briefs, or in boxer briefs.

When I'm not wearing a jockstrap, I always wear one of the better brands of pouch underwear. They come in trunks, boxer briefs, briefs as well as boxer briefs with a longer leg, if that's your thing.
Once I discovered this innovation in male undergear, I couldn't go back to any of the other types, that seem to completely ignore the topography of the male body. Now my boys have enough room to feel comfortable resting in their ball hammock, which is lifted and separated from your body (no scrotum sticking to your thigh!) and my "big guy" has just enough breathing space without being plastered against my groin, while insuring that if he decides to seek attention, he'll easily be kept in check by the confines of the pouch.
There are now dozens of good brands available, as more brands have begun to include a version of this new approach to men's underwear. My favourites are ergowear, Stealth and All Citizens, but there are many more. You owe it to yourself to try them out. Your boys will thank you.
