Was reading an article about endocrine disrupting chemicals from plastics, pesticides, soybean oil, etc. Broadly, the researcher had noticed a 50 percent sperm count reduction over yore, a 1 percent difference year over year basically, sometimes dramatic reductions in rural agricultural areas. As plastics and pesticides et al spread over the world so too it spread to the global populatuon. None of that surprised me, however what made me think of sharing it here at Your Jockstraps there was the correlation between higher in-utero exposure and reduced anogenital distance in males which apparently does carry over to adults. She did also divert to various descriptions of this for the lecture crowd quoted by the author, being the perineum, the ass-to-ball separator, the gooch, the taint, and of course the grundle. The researcher quoting one of the college student males submitting to an invasive examination as part of the study for compensation, "I'll do anything for $75." No subject quotes on collecting urine samples for pesticide levels.
So anyways this had me wondering if the recent trend to shorten the pouch on jockstraps isn't just due to changing preferences on waistband height, maybe less gluteal development filling out the straps, bulge vanity, perhaps most obviously changing Body Mass Index among the population and our big guts, but also acknowledging physically shorter grundles. I haven't ordered a Meyer jock to compare to the newer Gym 2.0 models to see if they kept the old bike proportions but I have had several jocks where the pouch went back too damned far. For that matter how have the Bike models changed or not, and I'm broadly interesred in comparing other jocks. This is important fit information! There are chafing consequences to shortening it too much as well as the leg straps dig into taint and thigh.
