"New" jockstrap brand -- at least new to me

Always Strapped

Jockstrap Fan
Yesterday I bought two new athletic-style jockstraps -- one white (by far my preferred color) and the other black -- by a brand called THK. It's my first time getting that brand, but it probably won't be my last. Although they're a little on the pricey side (I paid $23 each for them at the store, although on the company website they go for $27), they're really excellent: very comfortable, provide good support, great-looking, very manly! I can't attest yet to my other important criterion, which is durability (I hate a jock that all but falls apart after only a few wearings and washings), but they certainly look and feel durable, and I'll be surprised if they aren't. Anyone else have any experience with this brand?

By the way, on their website (https://www.thirstymale.com/collections/thk-shop) they classify jockstraps as for "bottoms." I find that really curious and annoying -- the fact that so many gay men seem to regard jockstraps as strictly (or at least quintessentially) for bottoms. Although I consider myself versatile, I'm primarily a top, but I wear jocks all the time, including for sex! I believe jockstraps are every bit as good for "tops" as for "bottoms."

Thanks for the website info!
I'm a top too and my partner loves when I wear my jockstraps to top him!

I don't want to diss this new brand, especially as I think they have a slick and solid branding but as far as their classic style sports jocks go, they're the same as the ones available from Cellblock 13, Aussiebum and countless others. They're being made by an Chinese company who is slapping each brands label on them. The only difference is the brand name on the label. Don't get me wrong, they're great jocks and the colors available are awesome - but it really comes down to which brand name you prefer on your jockstrap and of course, the price.

Alpha Charlie, another brand we carry, also has the same jockstrap but we decided not to carry it. Carrying the identical jock with the only difference being the brand name on the label just didn't make sense.

Here's the THK grey jock ($26.99 USD) compared to the Cellblock 13 one ( $22.00 USD) we carry at Jockstrap Central. They're identical except we have color corrected our image (because color is important when you're buying something online, sight unseen).

With that said, there's a few other jocks they carry that I think are fun.

I think their Vibe Jock is interesting. Have never seen a waistband with diagonal stripes. I also love their label.

Just my two cents!

I was hoping you'd give your expert opinion! I've found the Chinese ones to be horrible!
Thank you! I'll definitely be buying thru you!

I think you misunderstood me. They're all being made in China - as are most of the cheap jocks you find on Amazon these days. There's one Chinese company making all these modern classic looking jockstraps and slapping each brand's label on them. The Cellblock 13 ones are also made in China.

Here's where all our jocks and gear are made:

Nasty Pig jocks are made in Thailand. King Dick jocks are made in China. Our JC Athletic jockstraps are made in India. GBGB jocks are made in the Philippines. Male Power is mostly made in China but some in USA. Papi is made in India. Bruto and PUMP! are made in Colombia. Alpha Charlis jocks are made in China. HisJock jocks are made in China. Locker Gear is made in Bangladesh. McKillop is made in Mexico. Meyer jocks are made in China. Omtex and Wolf are made in China. Raw Studio is made in Canada. Russell Hardware is made in Canada.

As for my surgery... check out my profile wall, I just did a quick update. It's all good news. As you can tell, I'm back at my desk. I didn't expect to be working for another week. Won't be here all day but happy to be working and not lying on the couch all day.

Fascinating information! Really makes me ponder which ones to choose then...
Do you know where the new Bike company gets theirs made?

Excellent news about your health and return to work you love so soon!

Now I just gotta figure out how to find this profile wall of yours...I'm only on my cellphone for all of this here...slowly learning...but loving every visit!

I forgot that this site was affiliated with jockstrapcentral.com, so I sincerely apologize, Jockstrapguy, for pointing fellow members to a competitor website. I should have checked first to see whether THK jockstraps were available at jockstrapcentral.com. I'll remember to be more conscientious about that in the future. In the meantime, thanks for maintaining this terrific website!

:) Um... we're not affiliated with jockstraps.com at all, my store is Jockstrap Central ( jockstrapcentral.com ) and have been in business much longer - over 17 years now in fact. But don't worry, it's an easy mistake to make. We actually have that other store's customers phoning us up asking us where their order is or asking us to exchange things they've ordered from them.

As for THK, I have no problem with guys talking about other brands on here... at all. In fact, I think it's great. I'd rather guys wouldn't promote actual retail stores like International Jock or Fresh Pair or Jockstraps dot Com but brands are ok. I pride myself on having my ear to the ground when it comes to new brands but I don't know everything, so any new brand mentioned on here is a potential new brand we may be able to carry at Jockstrap Central - and it gives us the benefit of having guys give feedback and reviews of it.

I only piped in because I think the Sports Jocks they offer (as mentioned above) are available everywhere. But as I also mentioned, I love some of their other original designs and love their brand and marketing - it's very slick and current.

It's because of being involved on Instagram that I found the brands KING DICK, GX3 and HisJock. The first I heard of Bike being rebooted was from a post on this site.

So, it's all good.

Oh, my gosh -- double apologies! I'll correct my reference above. Chalk it up to the effects of advanced age. ;)

Thanks for this information! I was wondering where some of these big brands were made - it makes me happy to make mine right here in the USA!
