Your Jockstraps is a full-featured website featuring discussion forums, galleries, profiles, search capabilities and a robust private message system to converse with other like-minded guys who are into jockstraps.
While you are more than welcome to enjoy the site as a guest, the real fun begins when you register and become a member. And just in case you're wondering, Your Jockstraps is and always will be 100% free.
The website may appear daunting but trust me, once you get used to it, it will feel like home in no-time. As a start, be sure to read my post in the News and Announcements Forum . There's lots of help available in the FAQ Pages and if you still can't figure something out, then post a question in the Questions, Help and Support Forum and I'll do my best to help you.
When you do join, don't forget to spend some time setting up your Profile, it's your home. Upload a profile photo and be sure to fill in some of the Account Details as what you fill in will appear on your Profile Page under the About tab.

I actually saw this thread last night and was going to jump in but between still recovering from my surgery and working my ass off for our Black Friday event, I just couldn't go back down to my computer.
At first, I was a bit incensed to see many of you trying to abandon ship (here) and find a chat room elsewhere, and using this platform to make it happen but then I calmed down and reread things and I don't think most, if not any of you had that as your intention.
As @Redsucked02 mentioned above and most of the long standing members here know, having a live chat (with video) was always part of the plan and an intended upgrade for this site. To me, it's one of two addons that will make this site whole. That's Chat. And Video. There's already a few threads here about a chat feature.
Honestly, I had expected to have it up and running by now but it has had to take a back burner partially due to my health issues and partially due to a huge project I'm working on for Jockstrap Central (a full site redesign and upgrade). The Jockstrap Central redesign has to take precedence as we're losing a lot of business by not having a more modern online store. Google penalizes in our listing because by their standards it's not "mobile friendly" not to mention, we don't have a search function and a true customer portal, so the customer experience is diminished.
I've been working on the new site for a year, in my so called spare time, and was making great progress but then my cancer resurfaced so I'm spending more and more time back and forth at the hospital and as mentioned, just had surgery this past Monday to have a mass removed from my groin. The surgery went well and wasn't very complicated but because of where it was and how much skin had to be stretched to close up the wound, it's been quite painful when moving around.
So, the website upgrade has been neglected for the past month.

The most important thing is your health and wellbeing. Everyone here is appreciative of all you do in making this site as awesome as it is. I have directed others here and encourage them to “shop” as well as enjoy the sites main topic. I’m sure I am not alone in saying Thank You!!

As for the chat feature, I've found the software I want to use and it integrates fully with the software running this site. So you'll just have to log in to your regular account to use the chat.
The chat software I intend to use has the ability to have multiple room, private rooms and video and more.
BUT...
I do have reservations about Chat on this website:
One, It's an expensive investment but one I'm willing to make.
I've been running community based sites for 20+ years and there are issues that come with chat rooms. As someone above mentioned, there's nothing worse than an empty chat room. There was a link to another site about cages and it was mentioned that that chat can be empty at times. Well, they have been going for over 12 years and have 20+ thousand members. This little site has been in existence for just under three years (launched December 16th of 2020 and we have just over 2500 members. And only some of them are "active" as I'm sure is the case at the other website.
BUT... I'm willing to try it out and I think we have an advantage of being such a tight-knit group. Although you can have multiple rooms in the chat software I'm considering , my gut tells me that limiting the chat to one or two rooms at the start will be best.
The other minor concern that often plagues chat rooms is: groomers, pedophiles and spammers. But I think that the forum software is good for weeding out the spammers and although you can spoof the whole age thing and minors can in fact become members, I think if, as a community, we all look out for such things we can keep it under control.
Also, I'm generally online all day long (and many night too) but it may be worthwhile to find a member in the opposite time zone (i.e. Australia) to become a moderator and help keep an eye on the chat.
Anyway...
I'm setting my sights on early in the New Year as the next possibility to get Chat up and running. But I'm not making any promises as I can't control my health issues.
In closing... Please be patient. I'm working on it and doing my best to make this a very unique and special place for al us jockstrap lovers.

Hey John,
Firstly, I wish you a speedy recovery, I had no idea you were going through health issues. Like a few of the guy’s have said, do you First and this Second! The chat room is a great idea and will be welcomed, as you said, a good idea to start with a couple of rooms only, then see how it goes. The fact that this site is Free is absolutely fantastic, I am sure members appreciate that and hopefully give JS Central good kickback purchasing from you, I know I and many others will.
