Wondering if anyone has been approached when wearing a jockstrap at the gym. Did someone ask why you're wearing one? Did you convince someone to try a jockstrap at the gym over compression shorts?

Some years back, before I strapped 24/7, I was changing into my walking shorts and other clothing after work in the company bathroom. I thought everyone had left for the day. I had just slipped on my jock, which was a classic white 3" BIKE at the time, and was stepping into my walking shorts when a co-worker walked in. He glanced at me and went to the urinal. After he was finished, while washing his hands, he commented that he didn't think jockstraps were still a thing. I told him my doctor had recommended me wearing one to help prevent groin strain, which was partially true. My co-worker said as he exited "Not a bad idea with all the heavy lifting and shit we have to do sometimes." Several times after that, when he bent over, I could clearly see the waistband of a wideband jock. Good to know I helped bring someone into the jockstrap brotherhood!

I’m 68 and still compliment younger guys in the locker room that strap. One guy told me that he always wore compression shorts until his doctor was treating him for a strain and that convinced him. He was in his 30s and I was in my 50s.

My first job was working in the sporting goods dept, and I remember rows of jockstraps, all sizes, Bike, Duke. The store even took back and exchanged them for different sizes. We didn't sell the returned ones, they just sort of disappeared.

I've never been asked about my jockstraps. However, this does make me want to keep a spare with me to hand out in case I am asked. Maybe with any luck, he'll give it back to me when he's done working out

I never looked at a jockstrap as something sexy. It was always a thing a man wore and while not a man when I got my first ones it was getting me closer. All it said to me is I have something that needs protection and support. This was confirmed when I need to wear a cup. Do they turn me on...heck ya. What else can a man wear which is holding his junk and making him look like a man. With that said I am a traditional 3" strap man. BIKE/DUKE which were the only jockstraps available at the time. When I bought my own in HS and Collage, I would proudly walk up to the counter and toss my 7 new straps for the semester on the counter. Back then it was a male domain in the sporting goods store. I would open up a box to verify the size and the guy behind the counter would also jump in on the action. In the locker room I was not ashamed of wearing a jockstrap since it was what I consider a man's strap. Not pretty or patterned (we did not have them) but a 3" Bike. It is just a man thing. Sure, it might turn you on since it is holding your favorite toy from the day you were born. I am a guy and I like my jockstrap. I like working out in it, just wearing it and fucking while I am strapped. Why? Because I am a guy and only a guy can wear a jockstrap. One day, when I worked out at the Uni gym, there was a jockstrap in the locker. You would just use any vacant locker and bring a small padlock with you. Obviously, after my workout and shower, that jockstrap got swept into my rucksack with my kit. (Fill in next bit of story, using your imagination.) Nowdays, occasionally, I deliberately leave a jockstrap in my gym locker, and you know what, it's never there next visit to the gym. So, say I've had a multi-buy or found a strap in a sale, why not "let it go" after a period of wear and wash cycles? No need to keep it till it falls apart, just "Share The Lerv!"

He asked me where I got mine (bike online store) and the next time I saw him he said he was wearing it and enjoyed the change back to straps. This takes me back to the 70’s, when men acted a lot differently than they do today in the locker room, especially the “not pretty or patterned “ part. We had Clean, Dirty & Ripe. Well said

When I was in college, the locker I chose one day in the gym had a single pair of briefs hanging from a hook. Nothing else. So I used the one next to it. When I came back, there was still just that pair of briefs. So I took a look (and a sniff), and there was definitely some dried cum in them. I left my own load, and hung them back up. The next day, it seemed another load was added. So I added another. This went on for two weeks. Unfortunately, the gym closed a week before school ended, with no warning. There were some other guys working in the area. We’d met first thing as the safety protocol required reviewing each other’s work plans and signing them off.
