There is something about a man in uniform; be it military, police, firemen UPS, my former coaches.. The snugness, the rugged but uncomfortable fabric; that looks good on practically every man. I'm not sure what it is, but I find myself getting a bit hard when I encounter these Working Men. I bought a pair of those coach shorts but they were so uncomfortable.

Shirts vs skins in PE class always gave some waistband sightings. In my class it was all beige Bike jocks with the red tracer lines. While it was cool to see some of the waistbands half way up their backs, it was hell when a gym class buddy grabbed your strap and put it up over your shoulders, often with a screech from the guy getting wedgied. Getting yourself back together with your jock in your shorts was the embarrassing part.

I don’t care if my strap shows. I’ve been asked a couple times if I’m wearing a jock and I’m honest. I like wearing one and it’s my choice of underwear.

On both occasions I got looked at like I’m nuts (for jocking up my nuts) but fuck it I don’t care.

My wife’s sister saw my jock hanging on my towel rack in the bathroom and I could tell she was intrigued with it. Too bad for her her husband wouldn’t consider wearing a a strap.

I can say I'm real careful at work. I'm afraid the other mechanics would let me live that down. Too bad they are too insecure to enjoy the comfort.

After I retired from the military I did some contracting in Iraq and Afghan. I wore a jock as underwear. There was limited privacy and my teammates at first flipped me a bunch of shit because of it. I don’t know why cuz most of them didn’t wear any underwear at all since it was so hot. But I stuck with it and now I’m in super unconcerned mode about what anyone says when they find out I jock.

I find it amusing the different reactions.

I know a lot of people don't know enough about jocks to distinguish in their mind between a cup jockstrap and any other kind. I do relate less to the idea of wearing a cup around , though it certainly is your party and you can cup if you want to. Who knows what consternation a prude might conjure up thinking about casual cup wearing when they spot a strap?

You have a very good point. Most people don't know anything about jocks unless they see very much of it. I doubt many people could tell the waistband difference if they only see the top.

Well to me a man should never free ball in certain situations. I hate BRIEFS! I do like boxers for some occasions and boxer briefs for others. However, all summer long or at home I am strapped as much as I can be. While there are many factors which came into the decline of jockstraps I do not think gay porn did not accelerate the declining use of a jockstrap.

From what I have watched, for research reasons only, there was an increase in locker room porn in the late 80's and 90's. Men were fitted in fill gear based on the sport and usually wore a jockstrap. I have determined based on my research based viewing no one has associated a football or baseball uniform with being gay but it is the jockstrap. At that time a jockstrap was a standard for any type of sport including wrestling and gymnastics. I shall refrain from comments about pinning a guy to the matt or having the perfect dismount.

Now this brings to the aga old questions. When did jockstraps in the 90's or early 2000's become a joke or related to being gay? Prior to that mostly every man strapped up. Were they in the closet and watching gay porn as the internet became of age?

I’m sure my jock straps get outlined through my gym shorts. And the waistband shows when I bend over or am on certain machines.

when I went into the office for work I would wonder who recognized the jock through the pant fabric.

I always can sense when a dude near me in wearing a jock. And it’s a big turn on when it happens.

i joined a new BJJ gym. And almost all the guys wear a cup drying class 50% wear tights over the cup and the rest wear shorts. It’s an incredible feeling grinding cup to cup.
