Vintage Vs. Modern

Everyone seems to remember the jockstraps of old with find memories. I'll admit to snooping as a kid and finding my dad's Bike and even my uncle's local store branded supporter at grandparents house. Of course I put them on and they were damned comfortable. Since many of us liked these jocks which were so soft and form-fitting...... How come nobody makes supporters like this today? It seems like there would be a market for them.

I definitely fall into the nostalgic jockstrap group. Over the years I have managed to get several older jocks - mostly Bike. The fabric content for most was primarily cotton and elastic. The reality I guess is that the new versions of even athletic jockstraps are probably less expensive to make plus they tend to dry much better

Love seeing those vintage BIKE #10. This was my first jockstrap for PE class years ago. They came in box first time you open it the air if filled with aroma of rubber and elastic. Mine was a small with the BIKE logo and one red stripe for small. BIKE was the most used supporter in PE class. Fond memories of jacking off sessions with my BIKE.

As is often the case, “improvements” are not necessarily preferable.

I agree…for hockey, they’ve really emphasized the jockshorts / cup in spandex shorts that really took over for the most part over the last 10 years. I liked the classic white jock and banana cup for baseball

Classic, for sure. To me, the older a jock is the more I like it. I still regularly buy mcdavid and bike new pairs, but something about putting on a vintage safetgard jock or being with a man in one is my dream.

Yeah, it’s so lame. I have much respect for athletes who still wear real jocks. Compression shorts are for boys, a real man wears a jock, imo

JockstrapCentral.com has one that seems pretty similar to the vintage jockstraps (though I haven’t tried it… yet…)

Also, GYM has one that definitely reminds me of my old Bike #10, but a little bit softer. That one I do have, and is one of my two active regular jockstraps.
