The Better Jockstrap

I have decided that I want to expand my collection of jockstraps, I will buy more, but this time I want to try different brands.

Help me to buy the better jockstrap.
I want your opinion, I want to know what is your favorite jockstrap and a ranking of the ones you have. What do you think about the quality, it is comfortable?

I have a swimmer jockstrap from nasty pig and two classic aussiebum jockstraps.

The Nasty pig One it's a 6 out of 10.
The aussiebum it's a 8 out of 10.
In my personal opinion.

I currently have one Gruff Pul coach jock. Extremely comfortable. 8/10.
I’m getting a few more jocks from them today. I’ll let you know how I like them

got a Bear Life Outfitter jock. Feels close to the Gruff Pup one, so same rating 8/10.

I have quite a few black Shock Doctor jocks. Wear them when I’m working armed security when I wear a cup. They redid the waistband, which was fantastic. The old ones would rub on my waist. Overall, I give them a 7/10.

Since I brought up the Shock Doctor jock, I also have quite a few Nutty Buddy jocks. Sports wise, most comfortable jock I’ve used. Support is fantastic, and really lifts your ass(ets) 9/10 on those.

Now with the fetish/fashion straps I got.


I Have one Nasty Pig core jock. I haven’t had any issues with it, 8/10

I got a few Cellblock 13 straps. I can’t think of the names off the top of my head. I have 3 of them, probably the best feeling to wear on a night out (one of the bars I go to has underwear night, biggest reason why I picked them up). They all really show off your good. I honestly have to give them 9/10 for the feeling and outside texture

I have a Bruto jock. Only thing I don’t like about it, is that the pouch is extremely tight. The fabric is nice, so I give it a 7/10

I recently purchased an Alpha Charlie Basic Training jock here at Jockstrap Central. I chose white as I prefer the look of classic athletic supporters. It's mostly cotton with a hint of spandex for added comfort. It features a 2-inch waistband, provides very good support and looks gr8, too. The AC jocks are on sale right now. (Note: the Alpha Charlie Camo and Neon jocks are not cotton.)

lmk how the gruff pup jocks are! i dig their gear and the rugged/bear vibes they have. some of the gay mens underwear brands make good versions of the old school athletic supporters. the cellblock 13 swimmers jocks are super comfortable but classic in look and style

If you don’t have one you have to get a classic bike/gym 3” waistband jock. They’re great for working out and the pouch has a certain feel that’s just right.

Is it common to wear a cup for armed security? Are the events violent enough that you've need the protection? I worked security at a climate change rally and we were told to wear cups because we knew there could be violence, but I didn't know security commonly wore them. I can see why and certainly would if I was doing security at an event again.

I did armed security for a grocery store. A lot of patrons would harass the cashiers or get in my face. I never did get a knee to the balls yet. I’ve always had the mentality, “better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it”

One event I did a few months back, had a lot of drunk folks. Cleared out cars for weapons and what not. Had maybe 3000+ people there. Glad I had one on needless to say.

The city I work in now has roughly on average 15 shootings a day. That’s why I bought the bulletproof cup. Getting a plate carrier next month.

Fortunately the intense pain subsided quickly. I was sore and didn't go to the gym for a couple days. I've taken many groin shots in MMA and while I feel them, your cup prevents anything serious. Some guys try purposely to kick you in the balls, especially from below where your cup offers less protection. You learn who these cretins are. There are also some newer cups like the Diamond MMA that cup under your balls. I wear one when I fight someone I don't know or who has a reputation for being dirty.
