low grade frat hazing exploitation film turned paranormal slasher, I skipped through mostly. 3 jocked scenarios.

1) There's a relay game the pledges play, two teams, two blocks of elice on each end blocks of ice and each has a red cherry with stem on it. Pledges wear t shirts and jockstraps. Each white jockstrap has the frat greek letter on the front of the pouch, looks like a smooth knit fabric not a webbed or ribbed pouch. They have to sit down with strapped, bare asses onto the ice block and pick up the cherry with their ass checks and waddle over and deposit it for the next guy. The cherries get eaten at the end.

2) They're all wearing preppy casual sweater over shirt plus jeans or slacks (it's winter break on campus). One pledge is told to assume the position. Pulls his jeans down below the knees showing the jock with the logo on it, gets down on all fours. He is paddled befire standing back up and pulling up his jeans.

3) Each pledge is brought in front of a fireplace, assumes the position on all fours eith pants down, bare jocked ass showing. one guy has hairy cheeks, quite lovely. They are shown a hit branding iron and blindfolded. An ice cold iron is jammed into the buttcheek as the redhot iron is quenched in a bucket of ice, making quite the ersatz sizzle sound. One guy actually gets branded by the deranged frat guy with a brain tumor who's been laughing like a hyena all movie long. and has repeatedly demonstrated he should not be near dangerous inplements.

There's another scene later on where they are in the frat house basement preparing to sleep, they strip and are wearing boxers or briefs, disappointing.

Did anyone mention the locker room scene in STEEL MAGNOLIAS? I use to watch the movie JUST TO SEE THAT scene. Then , the prudes cut it out. I would search for it and it was gone. Didn't really need to rewatch the movie again. Someone did mention SUMMER RENTAL with the late JOHN CANDY and all the jockstraps hanging on the clothesline. Love that scene! Sometime back in the 80s when they were promoting HBO and SHOWTIME i saw a movie I thought the name was called CLUB PARADISE and there was a scene with a man in the locker room in his jockstrap. I never could really find out the real name of the movie or find that scene again. There is another movie with the same title but that is not it. Then , there was also another movie in the 80s where a Private Detective wore a SPEEDO and a jockstrap and he had a boner. Some say he just had the SPEEEDO on but i thought I saw the waist band of his jockstrap. I think a personal fave is in ITS A MAD MAD MAD MAD world. DICK SHAWN had a jockstrap on underneath his red shorts throughout the movie. Even the stunt double on the fire escape had a jockstrap on. I often wondered if it was the same one Shawn had worn! You get to see it several times in the movie.

Not sure if someone already mentioned this, but I will never forget how my young self had an internal gasp when I saw the trailer for NORTH DALLAS FORTY, which featured a clip of Nick Nolte pranking a sleeping Mac Davis by pulling a jockstrap over his face! As far as British miners working in only their jockstraps, I understand conditions were so bad that often it could reach 120° down in the mine. I didn’t find there being any reports that miners were just wearing jockstraps - but many miners did go entirely bare-ass naked. I guess that would be the one and only benefit of working at one of the world’s most deplorable jobs! Most miners would obviously shower together in the gangbang showers to rinse everything off before going home. Many of them helped soap up each other as well. I can only imagine the camaraderie that would bring to a great group of hard workers like them. God bless them all!

Off topic, but tangential fun fact related to the ep — when my older brother was with the Dodgers, I was posted to Pendleton, and I went on a pass one time in the off season up to where he lived north of LA in the city I think was called Laurel Canyon. His next-door neighbors were Shelly Fabares (the girlfriend from Coach) and Mike Farrell (from MASH). They (the next door neighbors) made a big fuss over me, the MLB player’s Marine kid brother — really nice, normal people.

Also off topic but tangential and related to the subject of the ep’s plot — when I met my husband, I was a poor Marine, freshly retired and at a new job in the private sector. He was one of the richest lawyers in DC. I didn’t know that about him, but he probably knew I was poor by the Target civvies I was wearing and the Ford I drove — his clothes and car were the opposite end of the scale. Obviously the rest is history, going on 12 years later, but I felt like Coach Fox as far as all his money like the girlfriend’s in the show versus my salary and bank account. I felt that way right up to the morning before we were getting married.

No doubt brother! I had the misfortune of being arrested and detained for an entire year in the county jail for my first offense this past year.
