Jock or Not?

I bought this Real Men LIFT pouch jock a few weeks ago to wear under my cycling bib shorts. Unfortunately, regular jocks chafe when I bicycle so another means of support is needed. The pouch strap worked great on it first couple of rides. I am pleased that it stayed in place while riding even with the shrinkage that comes with riding. Does this count as a jock or not? What do you think?

Definiitely not a classic jock, but it looks great on you and would consider it more of a fashion Jock

That's what I need for cycling too, I don't have a chafing problem, but that still might be better.

On a traditional jock, the junction of the pouch and straps rubs me badly so they don't work for me. I didn't have high expectations for this one but it works great. I've also worn it while working outside and in my shop with good results. It doesn't have the traditional snug support of a jockstrap but it does provide lift and separation.

That's great! Thanks for the post. It seems few people wear extra support like we need for cycling.

Ordered The Sock (aka Jock Sock) after noticing ad in Esquire decades ago.
When arrived, liked profile, thin waistband & super soft pouch.
Thought would be good to wear while cycling.
BUT, pouch just had gathered stitching around edges for wearer to tuck into.
Any arousal or "shifting contents" resulted in tuck becoming undone.

.....uhmmm...nice photos!...if it doesn`t have "straps" to keep that-pouch-in-place...I don`t-think THAT`S really considered-to-be-a JOCKSTRAP!...A JOCKSTRAP is created, with-the-sole-purpose-of "keeping-everything in-it`s-place, and protected!...and, although THAT pouch LOOKS "HOT", without-straps, it`s NOT gonna "stay-in-place" to keep everything from jostling-all-around!...and it may even come-off all-by-itself!...and, THATS NOT-SAFE!...so, please, don`t wear that for anything-other-than HOT PICS

Well as you age your balls do drop. Always had lower hangers but now they are lower. Remember a Show called "Home Improvement." Tim "The Tollman Taylor" mentioned watching the ball drop on New Years Eve. I think Jill made a comment of I have been watching your balls drop for years.
I think I notice that in myself pushing 50

In the upper right is the "sock" or a strapless jock. Yea your's qualifies. I had one and I know guys have mentioned them here before.
Back in the day of mail order catalogs I came home from collage and there was a rather progressive catalog placed on my bed which I think was called "Man Date." Not sure how it was addressed to Father then given to me. Never saw a jockstrap but it did have the "SOCK" Also never say a guy shoving his hand into a jockstrap. Now while I did not order them, they did inspire me to buy a pair of black swead shoes with metal tips and heals.
