JC PRO jocks review

So I ordered two pairs a couple weeks ago. They showed up quick. The fit is really good. It hugs my form in all the right places which I like. The waistband is the perfect size in my opinion. The larger bands always either ride up or run the lower area of my torso and I hate that. But these don’t. It sits in pace and doesn’t rub the wrong way. They don’t move throughout the day which is really nice. My only complaint is that when I washed both of them for the first time after only wearing each one once for a couple hours, in the same load of clothes, the red pair decided to let several threads loose. Weird that the blue pair was totally fine through the wash. Not sure why.

It’s just weird that the blue one went through the same wash and was totally fine.

Jockstrap Central did the same for me with a different jockstrap that ripped. That's why I only buy from JC! They're the best!

Thank you for sharing. I had a similar thing happen with a BIKE jockstrap but it was the leg straps. I blamed it on the fact the machine has an agitator. Ever since I have washed my jockstraps in mesh laundry bags. This also makes it easier to grab them out of the machine and then air dry them on a rack. On a different note one I had a very unusual experience at the gym. I was strapped and working out. All of a sudden I felt odd and like I was hanging free in my gym shorts. Went to the locker room and all the bands of the pouch let free. It was a grey BIKE #10 back when they were first available in colors n (around 2005). I hit the locker room and all of the bands in the pouch let free. Since I have had different jockstrap failures (legs straps at the pouch connect coming free) I always had an extra jockstrap. Now I keep 3-4 in my gym bag since I never know what could happen.

My washer didn’t have an agitator and like I said it’s never happened whenever I washed any of my other jocks.

Although I'm on here almost every day and multiple times a day, it amazes me how I miss some threads, especially when they involve Jockstrap Central.

The first thing I want to say is.. of course we're going to replace faulty jockstraps!

With the PRO jocks, we are working with a new manufacturer and there's bound to be a few growing pains. We have sold over 500 of them so far and there have been a handful of issues, the majority of which have been with the same color and same size item and has been and issue with the stitching. We're dealing with the customers one by one and replacing any faulty jocks.

We have spoken with the manufacturer and they believe it could be caused by tension in the needle and are going to address it in our next run. In a few of the cases, we think it's exasperated by guys buying jockstraps that are too small (certainly not the case with @Californiacountryboy ) but a good jock should be able to handle that. In comparison: With our JC Athletic jocks, we use a different manufacturer and we have sold more than 6000 of them and can count the manufacturing issues over the past 5 years on one hand. Guaranteed, there are tons of guys wearing a size (or two) too small and the jocks are still hanging in there. it's just a fact of life and comes with the territory.

I'd also like to point out (and it's mentioned above) that it happens to most brands. Over the years, we've had Omtex jocks with jock straps sewn with twisted straps, and Flarico jocks where the label was sewn on in reverse or omitted. Male Power harnesses where the straps were sewn on backwards. One year, 3/4 of all Nasty Pig union suit had to be returned thanks to faulty snaps. SafeTGard was plagued with issues, we'd order navy blue jocks and they would show up with a navy blue pouch and black waistband.

Thanks again for your great customer service! It’s been a great experience and I really like my pro jocks! they’re very comfortable! Excellent product for sure!

I have had the same issue even when I upsized. JC has had fantastic customer service and reply. I have had strings pull from the pouch, the waste band and the leg straps, after one wear before washing.
I wanted these to be the one because I like the price point compared to the Bike brand. But I have now bought the Bike both the 3inch and 2 inch waste band in Large and they are doing well so far, even after washing.
