How Often do you Replace Your Jockstraps?

Just wondering how often you guys replace your jockstraps/when they should be replaced. For me, mine last for a good 1.5-2 years before they show signs of extreme wear. Once they are super stretched out or fraying I usually replace them. I wash mine about every 2 weeks and only wear them maybe twice in between washes. I think they hold up good especially when I can use them for up to two years. Just wondering if I should be replacing them more often, or getting more use out of them?

I know everybody has their own preferences, but I wash my workout clothing (including jockstrap) after each use. I have a front load washing machine which I think is easier on clothes vs. one with an agitator. What kills the elasticity is repeated drying. So either drying on a low temp or air dry will make your jocks last longer. The same reason my gf doesn’t dry her delicate stuff, which I assure you is much more expensive than a jock.

I wash mine every time I wear them. I let them air dry and I replace them whenever they start to fall apart. (I don’t usually replace though because I shop more than I wear them out. I just pitch them and let the collection continue without it)

Hard to say really. I've had jocks that I replaced in two years. I've had jocks that have lasted a long time. My bike jockstraps (gray 2 inch waistband) from college are still in good shape, and they were worn 5 days a week every year during college.

I replaced in 3-4 year

I replace my jocks when either the leg straps are not tight anymore or the waistband has stretched out or both. I should add I definitely buy more jocks than I wear out. I always have at least one new strap on hand.

Replacement when they fray, pull apart, tear. For each brand/type that differs. And since most that I've bought are good quality, I have bought more than I've replaced.

I purchase far more than outwear, so it’s basically a non-issue.
