How much would you pay for a jockstrap?

This advert popped up recently when I typed in ‘Your Jockstrap’ on my browser.
I know that we all love anything to do with jockstraps and that people ask for links to different brands, but even given that the brand is Versace and that it’s being sold by Harrods (‘The Top People’s Shop’) in London, the price of £107 (cUS $131) made my jaw drop.
It made me think, though. Yes, I’ve paid quite a lot for some really good fetish jockstrap, harnesses etc., but I’d never pay anywhere near this sort of price for something that’s essentially a triangular piece of material with an elasticated waist band and leg straps.
Would any of you guys be tempted?
i take it that you won’t be listing Versace jockstraps on Jockstrap Central anytime soon, John?

Many years ago AussiBum sold a with real gold fabric. If there would ever be a jockstrap in real gold fabric, it would be very tempting.

Absolutely not!

Cost is always something we consider when we bring in jockstraps from other brands. I won't name names, but one of the reasons we dropped a brand was the insane price increases. Their jocks started off at under $25 (which to me is the magic price for fetish and fashion jocks) but recently, they're charging between $45 and $50 for what is essentially a very plain fetish/fashion jock. With Cellblock 13, we understand their higher pricing on some of their creations, but those usually are made with modern high-end fabrics and will have lots of features like snap-off pouches and built in cock rings or other gizmos and gadgets.

We know our customer base and while it is varied in what styles they wear, $131 for what is essentially a plain, uninspired jock is not anything we could sell, or even want to sell in good conscience!

It was a classic white BIKE with a 3" waistband, nothing really special about it. I got into a bidding war for it and won.

I think the most I have ever paid was $10 each on ebay for a vintage BIKE wideband. Granted this was years ago. I spent a lot of money buying grey band BIKEs at a local Dunham's when they started to clear them out for 2 packs at 4.99. If I had to replace them now they would be $50 plus for the vintage jocks. I'm always on the lookout for a good buy. I see some listed for as high as $120 online and that is insane.

I have overpaid for vintage jockstraps on eBay because I never know if it’s my last chance to get one of the old ones. I would never pay that much for a new jockstrap though

A fantasy, yes, but you’d need a reinforced pouch to hold it in place because it’d be v heavy, Thomas!
