Hi John,
Today I wanted to create a "Swimmer Jockstraps Discoveries" topic but there seems to be no Swimmer Jockstraps subforum in the Jockstrap Styles & Categories or am I supposed to create the "Swimmer Jockstraps Discoveries" topic in the "Sport Jockstraps" subforum?

Hi Thomas,

Swimmer jockstraps, at least traditionally, were also sports jockstraps. I intended them to go under the Sports Jockstrap category. I could make a new one but the forum list is so long that I was trying to limit how many forum categories there were. Even now, so many forums categories are inactive. Perhaps as Your Jockstraps gains more and more members and by default, all the forum categories become more active, giving Swimmer Jockstraps it's own category will make more sense.

For now, just create it in the Sports Jockstrap category and if I do end up giving Swimmer Jockstraps it's own category I can move the Swimmer Jockstraps thread you create over to it.

Cheers,

John.

Technically, yes, but practically, no.

Although the software that runs this website does allows video uploads, I've limited them to a maximum of 10 megabtyes big simply because the software and server can't handle serving videos any larger - they just play for a few seconds, buffer for a while, play for a few more seconds, etc... All our phones are getting more advanced and taking larger and larger videos - so it's just making matters worse.

To truly have video on here, three things have to happen. The developers of the software that runs this site has to implement a video upload and compression system - that what's YouTube, PornHub, Vimeo and all the other video websites do. Then I'd have to get a second server just to host videos and serve them as it takes a lot of processing power and memory. And then then software developers would have to implement a system that would understand that videos were hosted on the secondary server.

There has been a lot of requests for the developers to build in true video handling but so far they haven't bothered. When/if they do then I can start researching the other pieces of the puzzle.

So, for now, we're stuck with uploading a video to XVideo or XHamster and embedding the video. That way it also doesn't cost me any bandwidth costs serving the videos.

Cheers,

John.

Hi John. I saved a draft and can’t find it.

If you saved a draft when starting a new forum thread, you have to go back to the forum you were originally posting in, click the Thread/Title box to open up the new thread dialog box and you should see a bar below the subject box telling you there is a saved draft and to click it if you want to retrieve it.

If you had saved a draft while writing a reply to a forum thread post, you again have to go back to the thread where you saved the draft, scroll down to the reply box and the reply box should have your draft. If it doesn't then it may have gotten overwritten if you made a post/reply after you saved the draft.

I have just tested the saving a draft to a forum thread post and the site is keeping the draft even if I switch from my desktop computer to my Iphone. What I typed in the reply box is there on either device (as long as I'm logged into the website).
