Chat, Cam, Online in real time

Hey Guys!
Great site. I was wondering if it is possible to add a chat room (instant message style) feature to the site, or, if really daring, add a C2C feature. I like knowing who else is on the site, and chat with them...see whats up, etc.

Hey Jon,
At the moment the instant messaging service is not available. I do know that this is something the site owners are working on right now, and something we hope to have in the very near future ( Possibly Feb this year ). So stick around, is a great place with a great bunch of guys!!

There's a few threads going on about this.

The short answer is: Yes, there will be a chat. It will be a video chat with the ability to have multiple chat rooms and to go into private chats with other members.

It's in the works but it's an expensive addon so it has to be budgeted for but most importantly, I have to find the spare time to install it, set up and learn how it all works.

I'm currently swamped with my main priority - Jockstrap Central. It's my bread and butter and without it, this site wouldn't exist. Jockstrap Central covers the cost of running Your Jockstraps. On top of all my regular chores for JSC (photoshoots, editing photos, launching products, marketing them on social media and more) I'm also working on a new website for Jockstrap Central. I've been working on it for over a year. It's a project that should have a team working on it but it's just me. So far I've got the front end and back end (checkout and payment) and now I'm currently working on our admin section. Once that's done, I have to update a lot of photos to fit the new format and then populate the keywords for the products as the new site has a long-awaited and requested search engine.

And if that wasn't enough, I just found out last week that I'm going to be starting back on chemo/immunotherapy - so that's going to slow my progress a bit as I'm pretty useless the week of chemo.

I'm aiming to have chat added by April.

Thanks guys. I'll get through it. It's the same chemo as last time which is pretty tolerable and I'm generally able to work through it all - except the day I'm at the hospital.

No need to apologize at all. The problem with texting and messaging is intent is not always obvious. I was only using this thread to let all the members know my plans and schedule for things. I should probably make the thread about chat sticky so it stays on top of everything
