I wear mine for a few hours at a time up to 24 hours. Sometimes I sleep with them. Just depends on how comfortable they are feeling. The more time you wear them the better the results.

I never thought of seeking help for it. Reading about it online, it seems to be common, and the jockstrap works for me. So did a cockring, but it would fall off when I went soft and also brought me the wrong kind of attention at the clubs.

Before I had this problem in my old age, I first experienced retracting balls in the swimming pool, even while wearing a racer's brief. Then I understood why guys were wearing swimmers' jocks.

My stretcher arrived today. It wasn't easy to put it on, but my metal rings weren't easy at first. Is it supposed to be so tight? I'm not really complaining, but I want to know.

It should be tight enough to stay on but it should be comfortable. If you try it a few times and wear if for a while you might get used to it but if it’s not comfortable it’s probably the wrong size for you.

Agree with StrappedMan. It's really about what your own comfort level is. If it is so tight it is painful it may be too small. It will need to be tight enough to stay on, but shouldn't be uncomfortable or painful.
Reading what bill suggests may help.
You may want to measure to do your purchasing or buy a variety of sizes to find which works for you.
