What type of jockstrap would you recommend for a precociously developed 12 year old doing track and wrestling. The kid is 5’9 well developed. It will take some convincing as no one else is wearing them among the peers.

A traditional athletic supporter for athletics would fit the bill here. @ 5'9" and "developed" he should be plenty big enough to wear adult sizes. Besides the word "Adult" on the waistband may make him feel more grown up. A young guy whose is growing into and adult body might appreciate some support. I would share your favorite brand with him. I wish that jockstraps were still popular when I was his age. Would have been much more comfortable than tighty whities that were standard at that time.

Good luck with this. It's gonna be tough to persuade him to wear a jock of no other guys do. So many guys don't want their asses exposed. I hope it works.

That is what I am hoping he realizes. They don’t change or shower after practice so he sits in the sweat soaked underwear under his regular clothes all day. My thought is that the jock would dry faster. As he is the biggest kid in the grade I am hoping he starts the trend. I have a buddy whom he looks up to who may help encourage it as a sign of manliness, group leadership, a sign of being well endowed etc.

That is sad My Teem was told to shower after wrestling practice with antibacterial soap and you must do it!!!! I have multiple sets of clean clothes to practice in for that day .Things can be picked up when your on mat like skin issues they suck . It sucks to be wet around your manhood. I hope there skin checks too. It was hard to change and shower and daily skin checks on each other for me when I was his age. Being naked in front of teem mats and wearing a singlet for first time that first year was hard I got over that. I have no problem in being naked and showering daily skin checks in font of guys we look out for each other as a teem. I wear my singlet proudly naked , with a jock , compression shorts under it . The first pick I wore my singlet as underwear with shots and shirt to cover it and I have tow backpacks for wrestling close and wrestling soap personal needs and stuff and my gear Its up me to pack I was sol when in HS at meet no jock or cmp short in back pack naked in singlet
I do not know if using tow piece uniform or singlet get him a wrestling backpack shorts shirts hoodies singlets compression short or spandex underwear they can get hot dry better than cotton underwear

I trained and competed in mid and long distance track(+800m) and personally found male thongs most comfortable for the extended training sessions longer races. DIM used to have some sport thongs. I used to from a department store here in Canada. JM has a decent on in the skinz line but a bit bulky for running. 2xist basic microfiber ones were good.

Neither of those require a cup, so...
Get him a Bike #10 or a the one from Gym that looks just like it.
Shock Doctor makes a decent one too.

Neither track nor Wrestling should require a CUP although a good regular JOCK provides the best comfort and security. If a CUP becomes necessary (contact sports) NUTTY BUDDY at least provides SIZED CUPS (the only one I know of) Unfortunately f-i-n-d-i-n-g NUTTY BUDDY CUPS is a frustrating hunting adventure and buying one OnLine means your size selection is a crapshoot. A major reason for young guys' aversion to wearing a HARDCUP is discomfort which is real but some cups are more comfortable than others depending on the individual's «genital geography». It might boil down to trial and error — expensive — but at least he's not going to end up with crushed nuts and surgery at 15! The current «out of fashion» status of JOCKS is simply the very successful propaganda for logo-wear Compression Shorts which fashion-concious boys adopt despite their silly ball-scrunching design and ridiculous PRICE. They're akin to spike heels for girls — you gotta SUFFER to be «with-it» don't ya know!. <8—Q

Also because I respect BOYS I try to ensure that they get good guidance about how to care for their JEWELS and that includes how to find a proper JOCK and how to find and PROPERLY WEAR a Protective Cup. I think I must have done it failry well for myself having survived a lifetime of intense activity and impact exposure «damage-free».
