The only cup jock I ever had that worked was a Shock Doc, and the reason it worked was because some thoughtful designer had attached two short elastic straps from the based of the cup pouch to the rest of the comp shorts, with the effect that it pulled the pouch tight against your body and hence the cup was flush against you; no room for a gap. I know exactly the kind of Shock Doctor compression shorts you're talking about. I've had several pairs over the years. Ever since college, my setup for lacrosse has been my cup in a supporter first (usually a Shock Doc Titan XL cup in an Adams supporter), then a pair of Shock Doc padded compression/sliding shorts over that, with that cup retention system you mention. Even though I don't put my cup in the pouch of the compression shorts, that cup retention system adds an additional layer of security and stability that keeps my cup just locked in place. I really hope they never stop making those shorts with the cup retention system because at this point they've become an essential part of my kit and I'd hate to have to change it up!

I've tried wearing a regular jockstrap under my cup supporter. It definitely helps make sure your manhood stays secure under your cup. The only thing though is that, with two jocks, the sliding shorts (the padding also helps for slashes and turf burn), and my uniform shorts, that's just a lot of tight waistbands to deal with. I really hate when I feel like my breathing is restricted by too many tight waistbands.

So you found what works for you. Well done. I can understand about having too many waistbands.
Lacrosse is the hottest fucking sport there is. I live in a major university town and watch their games some times. how is it that EVERY college lax player is handsome and built? I managed to "wander" into the locker room after a game about 7 yrs ago, and I was treated to a few lax guys naked on their way to the showers. Nice to know, first of all, that at least on some teams, guys shower together. that's a practice that has waned over the years.

Once, I had a hand-held camera (from about 7 yrs ago) with a small screen that you flipped out from the side and then watched that in order to make your film. I discovered you could rotate the screen horizontally (on the X-axis, as it were), which mean that in order to turn the screen around, you had to flip the camera also vertically. Not sure if this make sense, but the upshot (and the goal) was for me to have the camera actually pointing BEHIND me even tho, because I had the screen in front of me, I looked like I was filming the game, in case anyone was watching. So I was able to film a bunch of college fans, shirts off, as they cheered and they had no idea I was doing it. If they'd look casually it would have looked like I was filming the field, with my back to them. I'm a regular James Bond.
