I remember a few times when we would shower together, he would get hard sometimes when undressing and Turing on shower. He was uncut and maybe 8 or 9 inches hard. It was hard to keep my eyes off of it while we showered. I’m sure he noticed me peeking. Lol

Went to a Catholic elementary school with no real playground or gym/PhysEd program. The summer before 7’th grade some of our nearest relatives joined a private swimming pool and convinced my parents to do the same, so most Sundays after church and weather permitting, we’d spend the afternoon there since we didn’t really take vacations except to go visit distant family members. Then about 2 weeks or so after we started this routine my dad pulled me aside and asked me to run some errands with him. After a couple stops we ended up at the local pharmacy where he actually has a short conversation with the pharmacist on duty and it turns out I was the topic of conversation. My dad had actually discussed purchasing a jockstrap for me and the pharmacist apparently recommended a swim jock for under my swim trunks. The conversation between he and I on the way home was about my increasing frequency and duration of hard-ons while wearing just my swim trunks or while being naked and showering in the Men’s Locker Room. It wasn’t anything negative about my natural reaction as we both shared the bathroom at home on a daily basis and had seen each other’s erections frequently…..mine daily and his weekly maybe?, but more so about proper behavior in public places where strangers could see me.
Got my first regulation jock (actually 2) some 2 years later when I started a all boys private high school….Bike#10!!!

I started wearing a jockstrap for sports and gym class when I was 13. Soon I started wearing them anytime I was wearing gym shorts, whether I was engaged in sports or not. Then, in my mid-20s, jockstraps became my everyday underwear during the summertime but not during other parts of the year. It wasn't until my late 40s that I started wearing jocks as everyday underwear year-round. Call it evolution. :)

I had only one year of required high school P.E. in 9th grade. Jockstraps weren't required, and I can only recall two boys in my class who wore them. But I was on the swim team in high school, and I loved wearing my swimming briefs and also gazing at all the other boys in their swim briefs. I bought my first jockstrap when I was in college, probably just to experience what it felt like to wear one. I loved the "maleness" of it, and it felt very sexy to me. I bought several more jocks while in college, and alternated wearing either jockstraps or swim briefs for underwear throughout most of college.

After college, for some unknown reason I seemed to have temporarily lost my interest in jockstraps, but continued wearing swimming briefs both for swimming and as underwear. When I stumbled on the JockstrapCentral site while surfing the web during the early part of the pandemic, I immediately decided to purchase a few jockstraps. After that I developed a fetish for jocks and started wearing them almost every day. I now have over 30 jockstraps, my favorite being the GBGB Suspensory Jockstraps.

I think it would have been great if jockstraps were still required for boys in P.E. classes when I was in High school and Middle School here in Los Angeles, and it seems to me that it would be appropriate and logical if they were still mandatory attire for boys. Very few boys ever even took a shower after our P.E. class, and most of the swim team boys showered in their swim briefs. I'm still curious about what it was like when boys were all required to take naked group showers together in gym class. It seems very likely to me that I might have had a lot of frequent boners in those showers, and probably along with many of the other boys. However, from what I've heard from most guys that are old enough to remember taking those naked group showers, it wasn't very common to get boners in those circumstances for most boys. I know that there were quite a few other gay boys besides myself in my high school, and with both gay and straight boys in high school, popping a boner in any other class happens all the time among all boys that age. For me, I think it probably would have been a lot less uncomfortable popping boners in high school and also much less obvious if I was wearing a jockstrap underneath my clothing, but I didn't even own a jockstrap then. I think probably I would have worn a jock every day at school if I had one, and I wish that jockstraps were still common and popular for boys when I was growing up, and also in today's world it seems like it would be better for boys to at least know about wearing a jock. Anyway, I did notice that youth jockstraps are available to buy on Amazon, so I know at least that they're not entirely completely forgotten about for boys and younger athletes.

I interpreted it to mean that his dad got him the thin-waistband swim jock at that earlier time, but it was another two years before he got a "regulation" (regular?) jock -- that is, one with the wider 3-inch waistband -- which he said was probably a Bike #10.

I had seen my Dad naked and boned as a natural part of living in the same house. There was: me, my 3 brothers (1 older, 2 younger), my dad, and my mom, the only female in the house. Dad has always kept his pubes totally shaved, which I am sure is why I still love smooth guys. We boys had a common bathroom but separate bedrooms in part of the house all to ourselves. We had a gang shower - a bunch of shower heads and plenty of room, almost for a party lol. Dad would often stop by our part of the house for typical dad stuff.
