From my experience, no need to shave. I wear a metal one most of the time with a jockstrap. Sometimes a leather snap one, and that can get caught in the hairs if not careful. It always feels horny to have one on.

I’ve worn metal cockrings for years, having switched from the thin, black rubber type.
Although I’m not hairy, I don’t shave either and I’ve never had hairs caught when wearing metal cockrings. As CCMBike says, I‘ve occasionally had them caught in snap-on rings, as well as the rubber type. However, I’ve found that the ones that really do catch and cause discomfort are the stretchy silicone ones, particularly the triple hole ball, cockbase and cockring types. No matter how I put mine on, hairs get caught and tugged and until I’ve freed every last one they’re bloody annoying!
BTW: if you do decide to try one don’t guess at the size. Make sure that you measure around the base of your cock with a piece of string before you buy it. Unlike the rubber and silicone ones there’s no stretch (obvs!) in metal rings and if it’s too small, while it’ll give you a very very stiff cock, you’ll definitely have trouble getting it off again. You also won’t be able to cut it off with a pair of scissors either. 😖

Thank you for the reply. I measured using a tailors tape and I'm at 8 inches, so I divided that by 3.14 and get about 2.5 inches. Thank you so much for your help! Cock rings are so sexy.

JOCKSTRAP BULGE AND MORE. My BF wears a jock when he wears jeans. Recently he was working at an EPA Superfund site and I called and got him all hot and bothered. That’s fine if you just want a ring for your cock, but if you want a ring for your cock and balls together then use the string method, wrapping it round the base of your cock behind your balls.
BTW: when you do get one, make sure that you’re soft before trying to put it on, put your balls through first and then stuff your cock through. It’s easy enough once you get the knack!
