Do any of you guys wear a suspensory on a regular basis? Do you like it? Advantage over a jockstrap?

I have a few dozen suspensories (mostly SPORT-AID). I would usually buy more after they started pilling. I buy the XLargre ones (they are measured by pouch size) as I can put my cock and balls in the pouch and get a nice, uplifted bulge in my 501 jeans. Ya but I can never get my balls to stay in the pouch because there are no straps attached to the bottom of the pouch. I guess if you have really big balls the pouch might stay in place better. But especially if it gets cold, my balls shrink put and the pouch is useless.

The one I have on has leg straps! It is a Bauer and Black … wear a 55mm cock ring but always buy a small pouch to cuddle my sac!

No, but would like to. I recently had to start wearing a hernia truss. The Dr. who manipulated my hernia back in place suggested wearing a truss. It was funny because he seemed almost apologetic about both the manipulation and the truss suggestion. I didn't tell him, but I enjoyed both. The great thing about wearing a truss is you don't have to take it off for anything provided your partner doesn't mind.

Bauer and Black is the brand. Just checked and in stock… order by your ball sack size. I have big balls, but I order a medium since I like the extra support. I do, often in a layered way under a swimmer strap. I have a number of vintage Bubs with drawer-string ties for the Jewel Bag and Shaft base as well as current designs by GBGB color coded to indicate my fetish likes. I like the way they lift and hold the Family Jewels perpendicular to my body.

A suspensory was originally designed as a medical device generally used after an operation on the scrotum. You could get them in a jock or simpler suspended pouch version.

The only true medical one we used to carry was from Flarico but they went out of business in 2016. Their suspensory jock was always a very popular item - but I'm sure most guys weren't buying for medical reasons. Now, the only suspensory we carry is the GBGB Balzy Suspensory Jockstrap and GBGB Balz Suspensory Pouch - either a pouch and jockstrap version - and are more about kinky fashion than wearing for medical reasons.

not regularly but i have found them comfortable to bicycling. The junction of the but straps and the pouch on a traditional jock causes chafing when on the bike seat.

This thread triggered a memory that could be partially related to my jockstrap “interest.”

Yes, I played a lot of sports and wore cups and jocks (still do), but like another commenter, I also had scrotal surgery when I was younger.

In my case it was emergency surgery to repair a testicular torsion and hydrocele when I was 11. After surgery they sent me home with two suspensories that were very adjustable. They were of a no-name institutional medical supply type, but I was supposed to wear one for 3 weeks. I’m talking 2011 (!), not 1951 lol.

I say very adjustable because it was a weird “trim to fit” kind of thing with a small pouch with a hole in the front. I guess they worked for just about anyone of any size.

My mom did the trimming and we passed them back and forth through the barely open bathroom door and I’d try them on until I finally said, “close enough.” We were both embarrassed, and wished my dad would get back from the store.

I did wear one for 3 weeks as much as I didn’t want to, but it helped keep the aches and pains manageable. It was almost summer break, but I wore it for the last week of school.

For the longest time now, I thought they were just a hospital thing!! I didn’t even know what they were called!

Would love to see how that cock has recovered from surgery!

Actually it was testicular torsion with a hydrocele—fluid around the testicle. It was the left side and all is well today!. My cock was thankfully unaffected.
