REPAIRING JOCKSTRAPS

Most of my jocks are Bike, but I find the straps once they age become ioose and detach from the bottom of the pouch. Bike straps seem to be narrower than other brands, but the pouch is a perfect fit. I have tried to sew them back on the pouch but after 2 washings, come apart. I don't put them in the dryer anymore. Any suggestions?

As they get older, they lose their effectiveness. I remember, right before the beginning of a cross country race, the strap detached from ythe pouch. I was able to do a quick fix with a safety pin. I did well that day. Jocks need to be tight and snug, and I have a few well worn ones that are simply not effective, best to wear one that is newer or not worn as much. Different preferences vary with manufacturer, I have a variety of brands, but still you cant beat the Bike University 11, my favorite. It had red and black stripes and a black front label that stands out.

Worth saving I believe. New elastic from the fabric store and a zig zag stitch on the sewing machine should work. There's always copper rivets like your Levi's
