As usual, will wear one of these (have several more of the Bike and Nikes)... I think my new favorite is the Nike ("Breathe" with the green stripe), but wish it had a proper waffle pouch like the Bike.

Is it true that these days HS and NCAA rules require full coverage beneath singlets — wrestlers must wear compression shorts or, at least, boxer briefs (or wrestling/speedo-type briefs, though few wear that)? Therefore, jocks are effectively banned??

Yup, summer camp "uniform" — tennis shorts, jock and t-shirt. Tennis shorts not only stayed in place better than gym shorts (especially if you were sailing), but if they were white (weren't they all?) it showed off the jock nicely especially after the shorts got a bit wet. ;)
