Tried the Vaseline but it stained my shirts. Band-aids would simply come off, so I didn't bother. When running marathons I would put a little Vaseline around the outer edges of my jock pouch.
Any marathon runners around? If so, then you know anything that can cause friction can lead to trouble. A key in a jock could be an issue.

I was curious after looking at some photos, is the tag (logo) worn on the inside or outside of your jock? Some of the vintage photos show both. I've always worn mine on the outside.
