John Elway back in the day. Not at all embarrassed that his jockstrap waistband is clearly visible. We shouldn't be either. I make sure my waistband is visible above my shorts every day when I go to the gym. And always pull my shirt up to wipe my face regularaly through my workout.

It looks like a Bike Performance jock to me. The 2" waistband style I'm guessing. I have a lot of them (1", 2" and 3") so I'm familiar with the grey/black waistband. Here's a pic of Eric Decker wearing the same jock.

Love this pic. Not only is Christian's dad showing off totally visible leg straps, the waist band is clearly on display as well. This was a game in 2000, so based on the date and what I can see of the waist band, it looks like a Bike 7110, which was what Bike was producing primarily at that time.
