Scrounging the web and came across some vintage photos of guys in some vintage jocks. No idea what brands they are.

Well im not sure if i would call them vintage. They look like regular ones to me but cannot see the brand name. I think what one can call vintage depends on ones age. Im 70 years old and the 1980,s does not seem too long ago.

Circa 1980s Don't know if that's vintage? LoL
I define "vintage" as something (a product) that has changed or evolved in design, materials, manner of use, etc. An 80s jockstrap, especially a truly functional (i.e. "protective") athletic supporter, would certainly be "vintage". I lived through the 80s...our "supporters" literally had rubber threads for elasticity and usually made of nylon blend materials. Also, I think that only athletic supporters used with a protective hard cup, had a seam to create a pouch. A regular one was just a triangle of knitted nylon and rubber that mashed your bits and pulled your pubes!😅
Jockstraps have come a long way!

I beg to differ.... the vast majority of the plethora of «jocks» on the market today are PURE JUNK: ill-fitting, mis-sized, made of skin-antagonistic plastic «fibres», not to mention the ball-crushing «compression shorts» which are just a sadistic excuse to wring money out of gullible fashion-followers. Back in the 60s when I started wearing jocks as my preferred «undergarment» there were REALLY comfortable jocks made with REAL COTTON which was comfortable not scratchy or sweat-dripping synthetics and even smelled good (a matter of opinion) after a day's hard work. The original Bike #10; PAL; the legendary «BUB» series; OPC Champion and even some niche brands like Longdon made jocks that fit like a glove. Some of the worst of the recent crop has to be the Bike (don't know HOW to identify it) with the sleazy 2.5 inch scratchy waistband and misshapen pouch and «XL» waistband sizing that would cramp a skinny twink. The best Bikes were made in the 60s aand earlier — the Bikes made as «team» jocks were brilliant white COTTON and wore like iron. Of course THAT was not going to last because repeat sales slumped — one of those jocks could last for years even if worn daily and washed regularly. Then there's the sad demise of the Flaherty company whose jocks were never intended to be «fashionable» but were super-comfortable; pricey but a good VALUE as they (true to the company's claim) outlasted all the others several times over. I still have a safely-wearable, comfortable BUB cup-supporter which because of its design and quality is the best «carrier» for an OBC or other «modern» CUP.
In the CUP department I will agree that the broader selection of CUPS has allowed at least a modicum of comfort for men with plus-sized «packages». Not to brag, but even as a teen, I found the typical T-cup painful to wear because of its «undercapacity». When I discovered the Original Banana Cup I was finally able to wear a cup without cringing, and the advent of the JOFA style made things even more comfortable. BTW, contrary to the «advice» to newbie cup-wearers found many places on the web a SNUG JOCK UNDER the cup is a critical necessity and the best jock I have ever had for that purpose was a Longdon Swim Jock which was light, super-comfortable, and its anatomically-correct pouch kept everything safely inside my cup in the most extreme exertions on the ice and in the dojo.
