Underwear site like Your Jockstraps

I know this is a bit off topic from our beloved jocks, but I remember having been on a site focused on Underwear for guys that was structured very similar to this site with Forums. Just wondered if any of my fellow jock hounds know of that site?

As @jcqaz answered, yes it's USG (Underwear Swimwear Guys) and is a website I started close to 20 years ago. It was one of the main catalysts for starting up our online store Jockstrap Central with my business partner and husband 17 years ago. Click this link to visit it:

I don't generally mention USG here as it's radically different. When USG first started close to 20 years ago, I loved hanging out there and it attracted a great diverse bunch of guys into men's underwear. Like my taste in men, my taste in underwear is also very diverse. My main obsession is jockstraps (which I'm sure is pretty obvious) but I love a guy in a boxer briefs, briefs, speedo and other swimwear styles, mesh thongs and yes, even a loose pair of boxer shorts on a guy is a huge turn on. USG was about all that and I loved it.

As time went on, the community at USG changed and the focus become less about a balance of men's underwear (and swimwear) styles but became more and more focused on skimpy underwear, thongs, g-strings, women's underwear, men's underwear styled to be like women's underwear, etc..

Which in itself is fine. I have no issues with all those styles and in fact love some of the fun skimpy g-strings and thongs - especially if they're exposing. But it's no longer balanced and I personally don't enjoy hanging out over there anymore. I'm simply not into lace underwear or "men's" underwear that has no room in the pouch and is styles to mimic women's underwear. I think it's wonderful that we can all express ourselves and explore our individual fetishes but it's simply not mine and I no longer enjoyed hanging out there.

The other big issue was: Like Your Jockstraps, USG-online is free. It's busy and expensive to maintain. In the early days, like here, members supported Jockstrap Central which helped cover the costs of keeping USG running. Now, however, the majority of members at USG are simply not interested in what Jockstrap Central has to offer. It's a bit of a conundrum.

That fact was a major reason for finally getting Your Jockstraps off the ground and it was the right thing to do and should have done it years ago. I not only love it here, I love all the guys who are hanging out here and making it their home, I love interacting with our customers, potential customers and fans, I love all the hot photo and conversations being posted plus many of the guys here are supporting Jockstrap Central (a big gushing thank you!) - it's a win-win-win-win situation.

Anyway, USG is there. It's kind of in auto-pilot. I've lost my devoted moderator and I don't have the time to do it myself. I'll eventually have to make a major decision about it's future but for now, as I said... it's there.

Thank you for both of these awesome sites! Like you I am not really into the "womens" style of underwear, but I do like many different styles of mens underwear and USG gives me the outlet to explore, experience, and exhibit that interest! I support both sites and of course support Jockstrap Central an all your efforts... Thank you Thank you...

My feeling exactly. It's good to have some y-fronts, or boxers for cold weather. Speedos for public swimming too. Wearing a jockstrap is about feeling the pouch holding me like a hand, and those leg straps crossing my buttocks. It's horny in a way other underwear is not, though it undoubtedly can look great, especially on the right man. Yes, it's a jockstrap for me every time.

I totally agree with you regarding the path that USG took.. I try to post Jockstrap pix there in hopes of generating more interest... but alas to my dismay it usually doesn't work. I do ,like yourself, enjoy some of the styles of underwear that some of the members post. I am however, saddened to hear that they do not support Jockstrap Central. :-( .
