Not in HS; we didn't have a pool. But in Jr High, at the local Y in the winter we (all boys) swam naked. I guess it was required, but never thought much about it. It was just what everyone did — undress, shower naked, swim naked, shower naked, get dressed, go home.

Not sure if this is true or not but I had a friend who went to YALE . He told me before it became coed the guys swam naked. His story was you could get on an elevator and it was full of naked guys. Has anyone else heard this? I met a " professor" who taught at YALE. He had the keys to many of the buildings. One night he took me there and acted out several of his fantasies. Sadly he was a huge liar and never did anything I wanted him to do even though he promised.... never saw him after that so I guess it was a good thing. One of the things he lied about was when I asked him if he had a jockstrap and he said I have many for all of the different sports. I never saw one. Men like that who lie are such a disappointment.

Most of guys were just getting ready to reach puberty. By time we reached junior high you could see the changes in the locker room.
think the young guys in todays world gets it early like chest hair growing very early and dick size is big. some look bigger soft then i am hard

While growing up, I went to the downtown YMCA (male only, as YWCA was a block away) most Saturdays with my dad. All the guys, every age and state of physical development swam nude without question. I remember hearing that nude swimming was one way to assure that all the swimmers soap-showered nude (as state law required by posted sign). In reality, I believe the YMCA didn’t want wet/damp swimwear left in lockers to become mildew. At least, that was the reason our p,e, coach in [all male] high school required nude swimming at our indoor pool. In addition, the coach required our gym class uniforms (including required athletic supporter) be removed from our lockers, brought home to wash at the end of each week. Fridays, we would hear a coach bark, “guys, take home your uniforms today… we don’t want our locker room to smell like rancid jockstraps Monday morning!” Despite our best efforts, the locker room air was usually heavy with “sweaty jockstrap” scent. Probably one reason that aroma gives me a nice boner this many years later !

We did not have a swimming pool at any of our schools. And by the time I joined the local YMCA, they stopped nude swimming as the YWCA closed and they let the women come to the YMCA. My YMCA also had a sun deck on the roof where you could sunbathe naked before they opened it to the women.

I also remember, the YMCA rooftop (above the residence rooms… men only) having a bunch of men naked up there. My dad discouraged me/us from spending much/any time up there. “Son, believe me, you’re covered most of the time, so, you don’t want to risk a sunburn anywhere, let alone on your butt cheeks and your pecker-head!“ Probably good advice to a 10-year old. Swimming with all the guys, seeing their stages of physical development…. Hairy balls, and asses, various-sized cocks (flaccid and semi-erect stages), soapEd-naked men showering, and more, was enough validation for my curious eyes. However, all that communal, casual nudity, jockstraps, etc. just seemed like part of life and must have contributed to healthy body acceptance as an adult.
