Omtex Jockstrap Review

This is one of my favorite jockstraps. I don’t see many people wearing Omtex brand jocks and I wanted to review the pros and cons.

Omtex is an athletic brand from India. They produce general athletic gear marketed towards cricket and football. They have multiple types of athletic undergarments to include jockstraps, briefs, and boxer briefs.

This jockstrap has a cotton pouch with elastic reinforcing on either side. This elastic provides exceptional support while lifting the genitals up instead of mashing directly in. This pouch also prevents slippage on either side and keeps the genitals snugly in place.

This supporter is a great cold weather jock and is fairly windproof where it counts. I frequently wear it during the cold months.

The quality of this jock is also good. I have multiple Omtex jocks and haven’t had any problems with deterioration or loose stitching. Some jocks start falling a part after a few washes, so far I haven’t had this problem. The straps, waistband, and pouch have all held up well.

It is certainly not without its faults though. The pouch may not be as breathable as some people like. The cotton stays wet for longer and takes time to air dry. This jock runs small, so definitely buy a size up from what you normally wear. For well endowed men, you may find the pouch too small.

This jockstrap is fairly inexpensive and ranges from $10-$13 depending on where you purchase. Some Omtex jocks also have a pouch for a protective cup.

I cannot find this brand of jock on Amazon but Jockstraps.com and Jockstrapcentral.com has a good inventory. They come in white, black, blue, gray, and camouflage. Omtex makes a swimmer/jogger supporter with a thin waistband, a standard jockstrap with a cotton pouch and a breathable mesh fabric pouch.

Overall the Omtex jockstrap is a solid choice and great supporter. Stay strapped!

Good review. It has a double-layer pouch, which is probably why you find it to be good in colder weather. May have to get myself one. It's availiable here @ JC. Thanks for the tip on sizing. In my experience, most jocks run small. Several years ago, I bought an Omtex swimmer (not the current Aqua style). This is what it looks like today:

Awesome! Thanks! Yeah, Omtex makes a couple different jocks. I have a few. That jock looks well used!

This is exactly what I need to wear under my lined work jeans in winter. Now I have another one to put on my list. I wonder if there's a thread on here for us cold weather wearers that make other winter recommendations. Thank you for the review!
