I think it depends on where your body chemistry starts. I already eat pretty healthy anyway. So the acidity in pineapple makes me bitter. Mine taste pretty good as is. If I eat dessert that will sweeten me up. Something with a lot of sugar like pie filling or icing. I also make of my own food from scratch. Even the bread and ice cream is from scratch.

Maybe try some refined sugar. I have noticed it will change with what you eat, but what you need to eat depends on where your natural chemistry starts. There is no one right way. You just have to play with it and see what the outcome is. You may not be able to get it sugar sweet but you can definitely find out what might alter it if it needs to be more palatable at least for your partner if not you.
