Need feedback: Should I add a Gallery category for gear that's not jockstraps?

I really want to keep this site focused on jockstraps but noticing some guys are posting photos of themselves in fetish wear, harnesses, singlets and other gear.

So, what would you think if I added a Gallery Category for "Other Gear" i.e non-jockstrap photos?

I think it would be hot, but more as accessories to the jockstraps. I think we would all like to see strapped studs in a harness or some construction boots, but I don’t want to see it flooded with bikini briefs or tightywhities.

Nothing at all wrong with those, and they can be sexy too, but other sites cover that stuff pretty well. Maybe compromise and have a section under the website links for other underwear and a page for gear (like to you asked about).

For sure please. Jocks harnesses and gear are all hot and agree with other gear area too.

I think having like an "Other underwear" section or something along those lines would be beneficial to those posting things unrelated to jockstraps. I've considered posting pictures that aren't of jockstraps and while I'm not dying to do that, having a section separate for people to post those would be good for them. I wouldn't want to see this site lose it's main attraction, the jockstraps, but I think having an area for other underwear types and even accessories would be good.

At the same time, a level of moderation or like a limit of what TYPE of underwear pictures allowed would be something to consider. We all have our preferences and likes but I wouldn't like to see certain types of underwear or accessories getting added to that "other" section and have to sift through them before finding the pictures I think are good. Maybe doing something like "briefs", "boxers", and "other" section would help seperate certain types as well?

I don’t know about “Other Gear,” but picking a good jockstrap has everything to do with “What are you packing?” Might be good to have Endowments exhibited with jockstrap recommendations. The GBGB straps are ideal for me. The NDS Wear would have been good when I was nine years old, but not now. Women get to select A-cup, B,C,D, etc. I wear triple-E shoes... Why should jockstraps be different?

After sleeping on it, I decided not to add the category to the gallery. Guys can always post non-jockstrap photos (including naked photos) to their Personal Albums. Here's my reasoning:

Optics. Once you let the cat out of the bag and guys start to see photos of other guys in other types of gear, they'll start posting the same and before you know it, the jockstrap theme of this website will be lost.

As mentioned, you CAN post photos of yourself in other gear, cock rings or even naked in your Personal Albums plus I've now made a Forum called Gear Up (Everything That's Not a Jockstrap) where guys can post photos of themselves in anything that's not a jockstrap. Things like Fetish Wear, Shorts, Harnesses, Wresting Singlets, Cock Rings, etc.

That sounds like a great solution. It keeps the focus on the jockstraps while still giving everyone a place to go for everything else.

That's sort of thing would be more fitting in the Forums than in the Gallery. The Gallery is more conducive to guys posting a photo of themselves and other guys like and reacting to it and adding a comment here and there. The Forums are more for discussing topics.

I'm not sure if you guys are suggesting that we carry jockstraps with various size pouches but if you are, I'll address that.

Firstly, other than our JC Athletic Jockstraps, we don't manufacture any of the jocks we carry. When it comes to JC Athletic Jocks, we simply can't afford to bring in our jocks with waist sizes from small to xxlarge but all to offer each size with say 3 or 4 different size pouches and then try finding place to stock them in our stock room.

As for other brands, I can't speak for them but I imagine like us, it's just not cost effective. We have, in the past requested brands to offer 2xl sizes (waist size). We were after Nasty Pig and Cellblock 13 for years to do so - and finally, over the past few years they have started offering 2xl in some of their styles.

You can order McKillop jocks with different size pouches from the McKillop website but it's easy for them as they can whip them up in a moment's notice as they are made right there in their office/factory and don't have to actually stock them. At Jockstrap Central, we have also placed custom orders for larger pouches with McKillop for our customers. Most other brands don't have that luxury as they're jocks are made off shore.
