Laundry and care of your collection

With 600+ members, there has to be a percentage of use who don't drop loads or play watersports. I have several that are stained with years of sweat but, I want to launder most of my collection after I wear them a couple of times. Can anyone advise me on the best way to wash my jocks so I can hand my collection down to the young ones in my family. I'll hand wash but why couldn't they be washed like ladies lingerie in a wash bag? Thanks for the advice! Have a great day and stay supported!

Most of the year here I can hang my laundry on an old fashioned laundry tree outside. I’m sure the neighbors no longer find my colorful jockstraps unusual.

I hang mine outside too. Who cares what the neighbors think. Maybe it will prompt them to buy a couple themselves.

Since I was young it seems to me that when other guys put on their jocks most of us put our dicks in the up position. Cannot remember for sure. Anyway I did. It feels best. But you are correct, they don't stay up. Most guys allowed them to fall down. Some of us kept adjusting them back "up".

Have done hard physical work all my life and need everything hanging high. Furthermore, if my cock falls down into the pouch it crowds my balls, pushing them back farther and also putting pressure on them; it gives me a nut ache.

I can keep my cock up most of the time if I have a jock that is snug and does not have the extra baggy material behind the balls. My cock is just long enough when it's soft that before it falls deep into the pouch it will at least fall over to the side (if I am wearing a snug pouch) and that is fine with me.

Years ago, when many different brands of jocks were sold in every sports store and drug store, it was easy to find jocks that lifted your balls. If I bought a jock with too long of a pouch, I had my wife modify it to fit perfectly. Decades ago there were guys who excelled in wearing their balls as high as they could. You could do this with a suspensory jock (in photo). I'll try to attach two videos, each containing an old-time photo of body builders. If you start the videos it should take you to the exact photos.



If you can hold your balls up high, it will hold your cock up. Sometimes on a hard work day I might wear a tight swimmer jock over a wide waist band BIKE.

Today you can buy jocks with shorter, more supportive pouches: PRO, GYM 2.0 and PRIAPE.

If you are comfortable pointing down, go with it. You are by far the majority.

With the exception of a few of my really old jocks that can never be replaced I treat my jocks like any other pair of underwear. Regular washer and dryer It’s just easier and if you wear brands like GYM or Pro they can always be replaced. I don’t like treating a jockstrap like lingerie.

Great YouTube folding/storage suggestion…. Yet, I believe it’s just better to unfold to “store” and proudly show your jockstrap on your ass, supporting/containing your precious male sweetbreads. Then, there are some of us who own dozens of straps, and can’t wear them all at once!

I hang my jock on the bed post before I go to bed, to wear the next day. I put on a clean jock about every 2nd or 3rd day. I save them up until I have about 30, and do a load in the laundry on gentle wash.

I throw them across my bed to dry.

I store them in a laundry basket, away from the sun, and dig through them and chose the one I want to wear that day.
I don't bother to fold them. It's too much trouble for me.

…. That basket of your straps, each worn for 2-3 days, must have an awesome aroma by the time you launder the entire batch of 30 (being about 60-90 days of “male fermentation?”). Do you also regularly fire spunk loads into these jockstraps during the course of wearing… then waiting? The fantasy of huffing your basket of 30 [loaded] jocks would be amazing!

Cute! Glad that excited you. But, no, I never thought of smelling the bunch of worn jocks. I usually smell the fresh one that I take off.

No, I never shoot a load into a jock. I wear them for support, comfort and to feel like a stud.

When I first get a new jock, I hand wash it prior to wearing. And that's the only time it gets washed.

I may not stick with the new folding method because it may stretch out the leg strap but it works great when packing for vacation. I wrapped up 7 straps for my week long vacation and threw them in my duffle. They all stayed tightly folded neatly though much bouncing around in my bag.

I’ve actually gotten several positive comments from guys in locker rooms, and generated some interesting “jock-talk” … mostly about the great comfort and assortment of colors. Difficult [for me] to control a rising/contagious boner in that kind of “locker room talk” .. but, who cares?

Yes, I don't think women find jockstraps interesting.....they don't even like to see guy's bulges in Speedos.

I machine wash mine in cold water, then air dry or wrap them in a towel. There's on jock (and matching briefs) that I hand wash and wrap in a towel.

I never really thought much about the jock talk since in HS and my earlier collage years jockstraps were the norm. Everyone was strapped for gym class and there were even more straps for sports since cups were also involved. My first two years of collage I was in the jock dorm so 80% of the guys I would figure had jockstraps and you would see them in the rooms. They were not hidden in dorm rooms or locker rooms. Even when I took summer classes at the university at home men were strapped. Changed colleges my 4th year but it was not a jock collage. We had a gym and some were strapped but did not see as many. Changed my major after 4 years and returned to my original collage as a student and not playing sports but jockstraps were still considered the norm. There was mention of straps for various reasons and some were scolded for not having a jock. Moved off campus and most guys did not have an issue with their jockstraps. It was 6 years after collage when I realized the decline. 25% of the guys at my gym were strapped. A few years later joined another and I got odd looks when I would strip down to my jock and step on the scale. Normal activity for me growing up. No one commented just saw me and looked away as if it was wrong. Not sure what the issue was.

yeah man!...those fish-net *wash-bags* are ideal for laundering your jockstraps (if you don`t want to wash them by hand)...then, you can just do like I do and put them on clothes-hangers (the jock-waistband usually fits perfectly if the jockstrap is a size Medium, anything larger may require those hangers with the clips...or you could just use those wooden clothes-clips...usually found at a dollar-store)...or...hang them on a towel-bar...or even on a shower-curtain rod...or even door-knobs...like lots of guys do!...also, if it`s a nice breezy day, hang it or them on a tree-branch (with the clothes-hanger of course...so they will stay clean)...works for me!...and they will smell fresh and clean!.....those sweat-stains will usually come out pretty easily if you use a dish-liquid...or even a body-wash (although, I personally think they add *character* to a jockstrap and show that it has been *well-used*

.....you could use some *Dawn* dishwashing liquid...and, whenever I`m out of that, I just use a little *men`s White Rain 3-in-1 body wash*...it`s pretty mild, does the job nicely and smells great...if you prefer that *fresh, clean* smell!...personally, I actually prefer a very *MANLY* smell...but, I`d never wear a raunchy jockstrap around other people

.....just curious...why do you *wrap-it-in-a-towel?*...wouldn`t it take way longer to dry that way?

I have at least two hundred straps! Many are twenty years old! Always save my straps up. Just wear them once and put them in my strap hamper after wearing. When it is full I use Tide Free detergent on them in the washer, cold water, delicate cycle with 15 minute soak setting… extra rinse. Once they are all washed I hang them on a couple of trying racks that I place under a ceiling fan… they are dry in a few hours and then fold and put them in back drawer so I continuously rotate my straps

.....wow!.....over 200 straps!...I never knew anybody with so many...something for any and every occasion...huh?.....I`d sure love to visit your house and be able to look through them all...but, nevermind, I guess these couple of pictures tell the whole story!...very well-cared-for!...how`d you get so many?

It doesn't take very long. My machine's spin cycle leaves them barely damp and the hand washed jock and brief are really thin so it takes no time at all.
