Jockstraps required for Physical Education Class.....a forgotten era

Most impressive! Cum multiple times while stroking or rests in between?
Yes, more details please... How did you fit 18 in the day?
Rests in between.
It was a weekend, and I had nothing else to do, so I spent the day in my bedroom playing video games and jerking off.
My dick was rubbed raw by the end of the day. I couldn't jerk off for two days till skin developed back on it.

From seventh to 12th grade (1970 to 1976), jockstraps were required for twice-a-week gym class. A couple of gym teachers would have jock checks. The guys would line up in the locker room next to the door that led out to the gym. The coaches would have us guys drops our gym shorts and see if we were wearing our jocks. No jock meant that you couldn't take gym class which also meant that you were cutting class and could receive detention

One p.e. teacher kept his door open and we could see him changing clothes. He always wore a jock

What were some of the reasons that your parents, PE instructor, or coaches gave on why you needed to wear a jock?

My Dad started us wearing jocks before puberty when we didn't have anything to put in them yet. He said they were a great athletic garment that gave you freedom of movement. He was a jock wearer, and I think in reality he wanted to see his sons wearing jocks too.

I don't remember what reason the school coaches said. I remember the word "protection".

The other boys said that "It would protect you if you got hit in the balls". Nobody ever got hit in the balls, and if you did a jock wouldn't do much. We didn't really understand the wisdom.

The TRUTH, which I learned later, is that jocks prevent dangling and tugging balls. The (unnoticed) rubbing around causes calcification of the cells and reduces testosterone and sperm production. They prevent twisted chords which teen age boys are very vulnerable to because the balls haven't anchored to the scrotum yet. Jocks prevent rubbing of the glans, which goes numb and ruins sex.

15% of men get varicocele, swollen chords, if they don't support their nuts, especially working men who do heavy lifting. It turns out my dad and I are in that group. We are all different. We can only know what works for us.

BOOT CAMP. Our drill sergeant said that some men don't like to wear jocks, but when they gave men free choice the infirmary was filled with men who damaged their nuts. So everyone was required to wear a jockstrap.

I once had a friend with a short cock. He wore a jock for daily wear. Some asshole challenged him in the locker room that he didn't have enough to need a jock. But jocks aren't just for the hung guys with long cocks. They are for the nuts, and it doesn't matter what size of nuts you have. They can all dangle when you don't want them to. My friend, by the way, had a hefty set of nuts, but the guy who criticized him didn't think of that.

Q: Why do I wear a jock?
A: "Because my balls said they like it when I wear a jock. If you don't believe me, you can ask them for yourself."

Rather than clutter the thread with more PE Uniform requirement lists I offer the attached bid acceptance ledger.
I presume this purchase was by a school district rather than merely a school based upon the quantities described.
I challenge anyone reading this posting to explain why 2700 boys PE uniforms were purchased but only 1800 girls
gym suits. One item listed in the boys uniform provides a strong hint. Any takers on this challenge?

I'm not sure. Taking a guess here. They wanted the boys to change their uniforms twice as often, knowing the boys probably wouldn't bring their uniforms home to be cleaned as often?

Scott, you are on he right track, but your hypothesis would fail as 2700 uniforms wouldn't be enough boys uniforms for that to work. Your idea would in theory require 3800 boys uniforms assuming the number of boys and girls were roughly the same. I'll point out the key word which should help one of you guys to solve the question. It is not jocks, but rather socks. Come on guys, you can solve this!

I'm guessing this was a period in time when boys sports were the norm with baseball, football, and basketball teams, while the girls were not yet competing. Boys would have a daily PE period where they dressed out and then practice after school. Was it possible that the uniforms were washed by the school after each use? Not all boys in PE would be playing sports.

Bingo, Bike57. Most likely each girl was issued a gym suit on which she no doubt embroidered her name and was responsible for weekly laundering. On the other hand, boys provided only their own gym shoes. At the beginning of each class they probably went to bins, where sorted by size they would grab a freshly laundered shirt, shorts, socks and a jock. As I recall, Champion lettered their shorts and tees in big letters with S, M, L. Their jocks also had large letters on the label designating their size. This contrasted with Bike which designated jock size by colored stripes in the waistband. By having 1.5 uniforms for each boy, there would be assurance that there would always be ample supply, plus extras for sports, intramurals and after school detention PE if the school had such.

I suspect this school or district somehow got a direct purchase from E.R. Moore and Champion. I sold the Moore gym suits in that era and $3.95 was less than my wholesale cost. Same for boys PE uniforms. At $2.77 for the complete uniform there was "no meat on the bones" left for sales commission, which was typically 10% for these product lines. Champion had an advantage by selling their own shirts, shorts and jocks as a package, as I had to combine Yale gym shorts and shirts with Bike jocks and a supplier for socks to make a bid for boys uniforms and would not have been able to come close to the $2.77 set.

I suppose some boys entering junior high seeing gym shoes as their only requirement on their school supply list were in for something of a surprise when they first entered the locker room only to encounter PE uniforms and mandatory showers.

This is absolutely sensational! What a lot of work! You were a salesman of this stuff, so it's guys like you that worked for a supply company that provided me in 6th grade with the required school PE uniform and jockstrap. I remember clearly seeing the list of what was needed and boys were not required to have jockstraps until 7th grade, but I guess the company thought it wasn't a distinction worth making. At any rate, I'm super glad they included it. I was addicted the moment I saw it in my hand and then saw the older guys wearing theirs.
This was a new (to me) private, all-boys school and I recall asking my mother what an athletic supporter was as she drove me too school for orientation. "It's a kind of underwear that protects your penis," she said. I was silent, stunned that my mom had said "penis" in front of me. Of course, it just goest to show that women don't get jocks; they're to protect your balls more than your dick.
I swiped lots of jocks between 6th and 12th grade, for sure.
I love how these lists seems to carry just a touch of discomfort with the topic of jockstraps. It's funny that some of them labeled them as "supporter, athletic." What OTHER kind of supporter did they think people wanted?
I noticed, too, that some of the lists include cup jocks (one is specific: "Bike Athletic Supporter" was one item followed immediately bu "Bike Cup Unit." another school requires 6th graders to have an athletic supporter but 7th grader to have a hard cup. I wondered what sports they were doing that required that; hockey, I suppose, but I don't think football players wore cups. I don't think they ever did.
One list has "athletic supporter" followed IMMEDIATELY by the sentence; "NIV Bibles are available at the school bookstore." I love it. I wonder what the religious types in those schools would think if they knew how many boys took home their jockstraps and beat off wearing them. I certainly did. At one point, thanks to my thieving ways, I had about 13 jocks, and sometimes I'd pull them all one, one after another and once they were in place, I'd kinda smack the pouch to see hot much protection they added. that many was like having a CUP!
done that also, layer up in multiple straps, as many as could fit. such a hot look, and feels amazing. hard as a rock inside those pouches. lots of legstraps there to snap!

So what chemical did the school wash the towels with to give you an instantly warm sensation once you started to dry off? Would they have washed the shorts, jocks, socks, and tees in the same thing to sanitize them? We provided our own clothing in middle school, but the towels always had that same effect.

Schools which washed PE uniforms could wash towels and PE and sports uniforms at the same time provided that they did not exceed 110 f. temperature in the wash cycle water. I called upon a combination junior high/high school customer which used an 80 lb. Maytag Commercial extractor/washer (which my predicessor sold many years earlier) capable of washing all uniforms and towels for about 300 students in two loads. I am sure this also included the towels from the girls PE and sports programs. The 110 f. temperature maximum was established to preserve the elastic in both the gym shorts and jocks and they both lasted for the entire school year. I don't remember for sure , but the jockstraps may have been removed from the laundry and dried at lower temperature than everything else.

Chemical for instant sensation? Really, nothing more than Water. I specifically remember that only one cup of detergent was added for each of these huge loads. Every janitorial supply distributor sold detergent, but I remember selling this school a liquid detergent delivered in a 55 gallon barrel, which I was told lasted the entire school year. Oddly enough, they also bought a liquid disinfectant which was used for the swimming pool entry foot bath pans, and as I recall they bought more of that concentrate than laundry detergent.

Instantly warm sensation using school towels? Never heard that one. Perhaps that was because the towels were cotton back then, but likely a cheap cotton weave. I sold a lot of them and seem to remember they were about half the size as bath towels and were priced about $80 for a bundle of 100.

In middle school we had the foot pads we stepped in to get in and out of the shower. They told us it was to prevent plantar warts. I encountered the heat sensation in high school from the towels they handed out after your shower. That's right boys, no towel dance cause you never got your towel til you got out of the shower from a window 25 feet from the shower.

small towels is something I haven't been able to find much on either historically or for sale, I like the idea of thin, skimpy, short towels. Someone once commented somewhere on a picture of somebody in their towel in a locker room about liking how in communist countries the towels at gyms and athletic facilities and maybe the bathhouses were or used to be so skimpy and austere.

There are a couple towels I've come across, nay rags at this rate I've found that are so old the terry piling is falling out in places so down to the weave, sadly no bros to show off for immedoate vicinity. That one I can't even tie around my waist anymore, I'm too wide. Might cut them even shorter and reattach some string ties. Not sure if they'd even cover a boner then. If you sat down your cock might touch the bench, at turns slutty himbo hot and also a nasty biohazard to the circumcized exposed urethra.

As for actually absorptive, but small towels if I had to kit out a functional but subliminally pornographic gym, issued jockstraps and see through when wet shirts and shorts I might go short width towel but make it the waffle material, I hear they're very absorptive. or go see thriugh towel and just go overboard on the walk-under blow driers, some guys might never use a towel at all!

I know there are some turkish bath places where the towel cloths looks thin, couldn't actually do much drying, I look up turkish towels and they aren't a terry knit but something else, not so barely see through tho but rather thicker and opaque.
