If you go to Pride, you are just a man at pride. You are not gay or straight, just a man. If you are hit on by a guy you can say yes, or no. No one will know you are not interested in them because you are straight unless you tell them, they will just move on to the next hottie. So go to Pride and have fun.

I'm an old man by now, I came of age within a few years of Stonewall. I feel that Pride is all about LGBTQ folks being proud of their Sexuality, their sense of self, and being respectful of other people's choice. And really, one's choice of skivvies is the very least thing to be concerned about. My wearing a jockstrap has to do with comfort and style, as well as a testimony to my tiny fetish, and is really not anyone else's concern; my attitude is, who paid my rent this month? Yeah, me! I simply don't care what you think of my underwear. Please be Proud at least during a Pride Celebration, as well as the other 364.25 days a year!

it was transformed in the late ‘80s and is now a mix of housing and financial businesses amongst other things.

Of course you can go to Pride, even if it’s just an opportunity to wear a jockstrap.
Every Pride I’ve been to I always wear a strap.
Jockstraps are not gay in themselves, although obviously wearing one might make other people think you’re gay.
However, if a strap is comfortable for you to wear, then why not be comfortable at Pride wearing it?
As Nudeinsocial has said, if someone makes an advance to you because they’ve discovered that your wearing a jockstrap, you have as much right to say no if you’re gay and don’t fancy him as if you’re heterosexual and definitely don’t fancy his advances.
