Jockstrap "cleanliness"

There's a common trope in gay porn about men never washing their jockstraps and/or guys getting off on how filthy and smelly a jockstrap is. Maybe I'm in a distinct minority on this point, but I find few things sexier than a freshly laundered jock on a guy. Or if it's not freshly laundered -- that is, he's been wearing it all day or for a sports event -- that's perfectly OK as long as it was clean when he put it on earlier that day or before the game. In other words, yes, it's dirty and smelly, but at least it's pretty "fresh" dirt and stink, if that makes sense. But to me a never-washed jockstrap would be a HUGE turn-off. Am I really in the minority on that point? I'd love to hear what you guys think about this!

P.S. - As you imagine based on the above, I wash my jocks after every wearing. I can't stand putting on a dirty jock. And perhaps for that reason, I've never had a case of "jock itch."

While I can appreciate how other guys enjoy a dirty jockstrap...for me they also must be washed! A white one really turns me on!
So no you're definitely not the only one! But we are perhaps a small minority...

I agree, I go through two to three straps a day. I keep all my straps in a jock hamper and once a month I put them in the washer on delicate and soak cycle with a good laundry detergent. When done I set up my two laundry racks under a ceiling fan in my spare bedroom to dry. I have some 20 year old Bike jocks that look brand new! The clothes dryer is a killer on straps!

I fall in your category washing my jocks. As a youth my dad taught me wearing my jocks almost daily so I’d bring my jocks home from school PE maybe every other day bring a fresh jock in between. Now as a older jockstrapper Daily. I wear a new jock each day. So I wash a few jocks by hand and hang dry.

Since I'm a working blue collar fella, I'll probably get athletic ones, but there's a huge selection of those out there too!

Athletic ones are great for sports. But during my working career I wore 2xist jocks and Calvin Klein jocks under office work pants as mailroom employee then accounting dept. daily straps feel good.

Thanks for the advice! I have some 2xist white stretch jocks which are my weekend jocks. They are comfy. I am an automotive technician and crawl around cars all day doing heavy work sometimes. I have worn my 2xist and while they're great, they don't give enough all day support as compared to my GYM or Golberg. So it looks like I'm going to have to buy a bunch of each! Lol. Darn. I might try some of the classic looking ones from JC like Meyer. So many to choose from!

I can agree with you for job you do a more supportive jock works best. But weekend comfy jocks for sure. I’ve taught a few younger youths to strapping up daily for sports and weekends. Some hard to convince. But after a few weeks of wearing a jock they taught friends.

I’m a clean jockstrapper too. To me a heavily stained jock is a lot like skidmarks in underwear, it just looks unhygienic.

I don’t find it sexy personally, but like many of you who commented on this I do enjoy fresh “clean” sweat. Or even jocks that are naturally worn out. Not into cumrags or guys who routinely piss themselves though.

I hand wash my jockstraps after 1-2 wears and hang them on a drying rack. Laundry day is usually kind of fun, all my favorite jocks get fresh and clean!
