You speak for me. No, it is not healthy to cram your balls back between your legs.
Many new brands of jocks are made only to look good, but the pouches have no contoured shape and no elastic. I want the bottom of the pouch to cup my balls underneath them and lift them up.
I want it to hold my cock up so it isn't pushing my balls downward fighting for room in the pouch.
The JC Jock is one of the better ones. 
I also liked BIKES for the looks, and tradition. In the rural West that is often all they sold at THE store.
