Your JC JOCK has a different kind of pouch material that I will call "waffled", not knowing what to call it. Most older types of jocks had flatter/ribbed material. What is the purpose of the waffled material? Is it for more breathability? Or is it supposed to have more of a 3-way stretch, and not flatten you so much?

Hey there, while waiting for the exact explanation I wanted to say that my JC swimmer has become my go too jock. Maybe it is the flexibility of the fabric but it ihas been the most comfortable I’ve owned. Whether, working, resting, playing, hard, or soft, I love the support and yet never feels uncomfortable or binding.

The pouch material on our jocks, as it is on most other sports jocks is called webbing. It's a knit. When our manufacturer sent us samples of the webbing they had available, we fell in love with the one on our JC Athletic jocks - partly because of the stretch but mostly because it was soft. So many of the sports jocks out there, the webbing is hard. Many of them do become soft after a number of washing but we were trying to create something special.

How is the sizing on a JC jock? I have some Bikes/Gyms/Champions that I need a Large in. I have a Cellblock13 that I need a Medium in. And I have some Omtex that I need an XL in. Sizes are all over the place, unfortunately. I'm a 33 waist, slim build, average package (except when I'm checking out your website).

When you tell them that you needed different sizes for different brands of jocks, you do not tell them if that is because of the waist size or the pouch size. When you ask about the sizing in the JC Jock, you don't tell them if you want to know about the waist or pouch size. Unless you make it clear what you want to know, their attempt to answer might be meaningless.

My experience with this jock is that it is sized average. The pouch is supportive because it does not have loose material behind your balls like some athletic jocks. I like it. My big balls like it. ❤️ 👍

Personally, my WAIST is a little bigger than LARGE. But when I need a lot of support I wear a SMALL swimmer. It stretches the hell out of the waist band, but I do hard ranch work and I want my balls real snug so it holds everything UP. My package is not small. (Look at my photo.) 😲 Right! 😲 Under normal circumstances I find that most pouches are too baggy. And very few brands are too snug.

Good comment about your package size changing when visiting this web site! ♂️♂️

Sizing on jocks is really all about the length of the waistband and how stretchy the elastic is. Omtex and Wolf (same company) jocks have the least amount of stretch of any jock we've encountered. It's a really sturdy elastic. What we tell guys for most jocks and especially with Omtex, if you're wearing it for support then buy the recommended size but if you want to wear it for long periods of time, go up a size (at least when it comes to Omtex).

With any jock we carry, when we launch it we go with the manufacturer's recommended sizing but if we find too many sizing complaints, we'll take out our handy tape measure and stretch the elastics and between the actual measurements and our findings and customer feedback, we'll adjust our recommended sizing.

Our JC jock's elastic is pretty middle of the road as far as sturdiness and stretchiness goes. We've sold over 5000 of them since launching them in 2017 and have had very few complaints.

With our Pride Sale going on right now, all our jocks are 15% off and our JC Athletic Classic Jockstraps are only $12.71 USD - good chance to try one out.

While I love the look of the Cellblock 13 Tight End Jockstraps, I don't consider them true sports jocks. More of a fashion/fetish jock that looks like a sports jock. They're identical to countless other jockstraps by other brands (Aussiebum, Jock Mail, Jock, FIST, Arjen Kroos and many more) as they're being made by the same Chinese company.

The other minor factor in sizing is also the design of the jock and a guy's build - some jocks can be more low-rise so will sit more around the hips than the waist. Some guys (like me) have a bit of a belly (even though I'm pretty slim) and that forces the jock to sit lower on me whereas some guy with a six-pack will probably be able to wear the waistband a bit higher up.

I do know sizing is frustrating and in a perfect world it would be nice to say, I'm a medium and then buy a medium for every jockstrap or underwear brand out there but that just can't work for the reasons I mention above.

At least we don't have to go through what women go through all the time - dealing with Vanity Sizing!

Thx, strappedwrangler. Part of my question is about waist size, but I can usually get info from the sellers on this.

I guess it's mainly pouch issues. A lot of pouches cram everything down flat, jamming my balls between my thighs. Not what I want. Also, some pouches are skimpy, and don't contain my cock and balls (I'm expecially thinking of Mueller here), or they are overly large so that extra material is behind my balls. And lastly, some pouches don't have much give because of the material.

There are 2 brands that are great that I only found on ebay: Defender and Martin, both classic style jocks. Some others come close like the old Champions. Ironically, the ever-popular Bikes don't quite work for me, altho I do wear them sometimes because I love the masculine athletic look.

I'm looking for other clsssic jocks that give good lift, so my package doesn't disappear between my legs -- I'm looking for "up and out", as it were. Not only does it look better and feel better, but I think it's healthier overall for my boys. JC Athletic looks like it fits what I want, so I was just wondering how other guys feel about it.

Thx for the detailed response, buddy.

JOCK POUCHES

To 2nd Wave, I agree with all of your conclusions, and I love these words you wrote:

"A lot of pouches cram everything down flat, jamming my balls between my thighs. Not what I want. You speak for me. No, it is not healthy to cram your balls back between your legs. 😫 Many new brands of jocks are made only to look good, but the pouches have no contoured shape and no elastic. I want the bottom of the pouch to cup my balls underneath them and lift them up. 😁 I want it to hold my cock up so it isn't pushing my balls downward fighting for room in the pouch. 🥵

The JC Jock is one of the better ones. 😍

I also liked BIKES for the looks, and tradition. In the rural West that is often all they sold at THE store. 🤠 We all grew-up wearing BIKES. However I had to wear BIKES up to my belly button to get lift. I could do that when I was younger and everyone was skinny as a fence pole. But today almost everyone has a little bit of a belly and we wear our jocks on our hips. But if I wear a BIKE (low) on my hips, there is so much excess material behind my balls that my balls get no support. 😖 If I do jumping jacks my balls flop all around and that hurts. I get better support from whitie tightie briefs.

When I was a young cowboy and logger, the nearest town only sold BIKE jocks, I sometimes wore them up to my belly button. But if I took my shirt off it looked like hell riding high above my pants. 🤨 So on hard work days, or horseback riding, I often wore two jockstraps at once, on my hips. 😛 A snugger swimmer jock over the top of a wide waist band. Many workingmen wore jocks in those days. Many guys were always putting their hand down their pants pulling everything "up".

The GYM JOCK is a BIKE that has been improved in a few ways. Made for the modern man to wear on your hips. The pouch is shorter and gives a lot more lift.

The most wonderful jock in the world for ball lift is a MCKILLOP. I just discovered it. The shape of the pouch holds your balls up and forward. Where ever you go your balls will get there before you do! Your balls will be happy all day! There are only 2 problems:

1) It holds your dick straight out. It feels good but it looks like you have a tent pole under your pants. If your cock is even average size it looks strange and obnoxious in lightweight pants or shorts. 😲 Light weight material shows too much details. 😬 The bulge in your pants even looks unnaturally conspicuous in heavier work jeans. 😮 But if you're on an all-male work crew, who cares? 🤠🤔 "How much does that guy have under there?" 😜

2) The waist band is narrow, 2". I need a wide waist band because the back of my work pants has rough nylon threads and would rub my skin raw. 😩

PRIAPE makes a stout jock. One version has an elastic ring in the bottom of the pouch. You put all you junk in the ring and it holds everything high. 👍It tucks-up the baggy skin on the back of your scrotum so your balls cannot slide back. 🤗 It holds them real high and wide. It is a stout industrial strength jock with a sturdy (but soft) waist band. It's designed for someone who really needs a jock that won't shift under heavy work conditions. It will make a bulge in the front of your pants.

It is low rise. So the guy with an extra-long cock might have trouble coiling it into the pouch. 🥴 But that is actually a rare thing in the real world. You probably won't have that "problem".

Yes, it is awesome that Jockstrapguy takes time to address everyone's questions. 😘 He is a real bro. 😉 That's what it's all about !

I recently bought a JC swimmer for the summer. It's lightweight, comfortable and very supportive. As for sizing, I'm in mid-range of large, which for this jock is 36-40. The one-inch waistband seemed rather snug at first but has relaxed a bit with wear. Now it's quite comfortable. If you're at the upper range in a size, you may want to go up one.

Good to know! I definitely prefer when my junk is snug and secure and maximum bulge factor.

Same! I'm surprised at how comfy it is. It's now one of my favorites to wear. Great work, strapped wrangler!
