Inside out sports jockstrap smoother on thighs?

I get irritated and chafed inner thigh skin from sweat, stickiness, and friction. A sports jockstrap with the rough pouch and straps sometimes makes this worse. I don't have a lot of smooth dri-fit or similar jocks to compare but I intend on buying some more in the future. I'm starting out trying a starch/clay body powder for that thigh skin. Anyways, it occurred to me to wonder about pictures you'll sometimes see of athletes in the locker room or of waistbands peeking out on gridiron football players that some wear their jockstraps inside out, surely nobody's in such a hurry they do that on accident, and I'm wondering if that reduces thigh friction. Started trying it on a Gym 2.0 but haven't tried a full day yet, plus the powder doesn't make for an entirely fair comparison, might let up when that skin recovers and see.

Some true Jocks don't pay attention to detail and pull their underwear up inside out. Used to drive me nuts seeing a Fruit of the Loom label above a guys jeans when they did that. Maybe they figured they wore them yesterday so they'd put the clean side towards their body! Anyway, if I wear a jock inside out the tack where the ass straps are attached to the waistband digs in so bad it has to be corrected. And with the Bike jocks, the cotton blend pouch is so much smoother if it's on right. Try it and see if you like it, but I'm guessing most guys are wearing them backwards by accident.
Except @dawgboi , he looks good no matter what!

Just re-read this and see you using a GYM 2.0 The pouches are cut shorter and the legs straps are tight on these compared to the first version. The first two days I wore one I noticed a slight jock itch feeling in my inner legs where the straps rubbed. You may have to go back to a jock with a longer pouch so the straps aren't so tight. I went back to the original GYM straps and am doing fine. Nothing worse than raw thighs. You could also use some Body Glide anti chafe balm on the area. Not sure what it would do to the elastic in your jock however.

Are all new GYM jocks the 2.0 model?

There is still some of the original left to get in 2XL and 3XL which were undersized and too tight for everyone if they ordered their regular size. I wear an L or XL and the 2XL original fits great. They have the original Bike pouch size. The GYM 2.0 had the pouch shortened which is a more secure fit but the leg straps are drawn into your thighs(closer to your nuts), which is probably why @easlgrundle is having his issues.

Even on an older Gym jock with more slack I have had the straps be an issue before. The pouch on front thighs is the biggest issue, which is gonna be there regardless.

I've thought about picking up a Meyer for more space on the straps but that pouch dangle would be even worse, there's a reason I went with Gym 2.0. Right now I'm not in the size range for a lot of jocks to not feel like I'm dying from constricting my abdomen. On the 2.0 I'm between the XL and 2XL on the 3" black band, might need a 2xl or 3XL on any of the other colors, which are tighter, can't imagine the meyer. My Gym 2.0 grey 2" band in 2XL that's aged and relaxed at this point is uncomfortably tight on my waist.

If I lost enough inches off my gut I could wear the band higher without it getting pushed down, and then I would need Meyer for that longer pouch. Getting the rough waistband edging off the tops of my thighs would be nice.

I'm probably gonna save up for a smoother jock fabric type, but when the aesthetic comes calling, budget permitting I do want to try the JC jocks, I hear nice things about the underside pouch contouring.
