Not fully bushed out from my last trim. I prefer a buzz cut over shaving. The buzz cut is quick easy and comfortable. Shaving is not for me it’s too much work to itchy and sharp objects do not belong in this area.

Some 20+ years ago I was diagnosed with prostate cancer and was recommended for surgery. After checking in on the assigned day I was handed a gown, told to totally strip down and remove any jewelry, piercings, rings,etc. I was placed on a wheeled bed and hooked up to an IV bag. A short while later a sedative was added and as I was slowly drifting off to dream land, a male nurse came by and shaved my crotch and balls prior to wheeling me in to the Operating Room for the surgery. It was at least 3-4 days later before I had the strength to stand up on my own to take a piss. When I finally did and got a look at my normally hairy abdomen, crotch and balls it was shocking to say the least.But as it started growing back in, the itchiness was more than I wanted to deal with at the time. So every 2-3 days after, I’d take my shave cream and razor into the shower and re-groom myself below the waistline. I actually started to like the way I looked but when I was well enough to get back to working out at the gym, I got tired of having to explain what happened to me to the other guys in the gang shower room so I eventually let it all grow back in. In retrospect, was definitely enjoyable while it lasted though!

I will never forget being in the hospital for inguinal hernia repair back in ‘81, before the laparoscopic procedures. A very handsome man nurse came into my room at 4:30 to prep me for surgery.
