Since we have a thread of wrestlers wearing jockstraps, I thought it appropriate to have a thread for football players (I thought we had one already...)

This guy's wearing an XO Athletic (my first retail purchased jockstrap). I instantly boned up when I saw the logo

The ”in your face“ presence of “VJL” (Visible Jockstrap Lines) has long been a great attraction to watch football games, especially the teams wearing white/light color/thin/polyester football pants. Line of scrimmage asses pointed up for better view uniformity, and QB appearing to caress the center’s scrotal sack for the snap have always intensified the erotic appeal. As a high school footballer, I got to live the locker room jockstrap culture. Though mostly playing “wide receiver“ (with erotic implications of its own), I always envied the QB for his validated reach below the crotch of his center. The jockstrap allure has gradually faded in recent years as more players (in all athletics) have opted for compression shorts. Long live, long love the jockstrap for basic comfort and sensual/erotic support for all strenuous endeavors. There‘s hope for the resurrection (and Res-Erection) of jockstraps as they seem to be reappearing on guys in my YMCA locker room, if not many others ?

Anyone else notice the wide white strap lines on Chicago Bears #30 Johnson last night. They came back ay half time with a 20 second still shot of his leg with a prominent 3/4 inch strap line before they went into commenting on the strength of his legs. They were plenty opportunities to see his strap in the game as well. Seems his teammates opted for compression gear instead as their uniforms sagged alot. Good for him to go for proper support.

Didn't find video anywhere near zoomed in, nor that particular clip, but did find a still picture or two of him in his Bears jersey anyways. Is this his first season? Most of his photos are of his time with the Longhorns, (orange and see thru white, Don't make me figure out which Texas school is which cluster of names and fiddlingly different truncations thereof). Which on him don't show a jock terribly well through them, or maybe he's wearing shorts over the jock hiding it. The Bears butt shot does show his white jock nicely, I think the NCAA required hip pads mean the grey or dark padded jock / shorts combos. One of his other johnson teammates has a white strap showing under a hip pad so I dunno.

I’ll admit it — I’m a gay man, into many sports but not football, but I watch football on TV for the butts and straps in those jersey pants . . . and close-ups (seriously, how many camera men must be gay!) and locker room interviews. Also when I was a kid and NBA basketball unis were SHORT shorts, I watched basketball with rapt attention for the jump shots and that elusive moment when a strap or pouch was visible.
