Color/Design Symbolism for cockrings?

I've been considering expending my cockring collection, but am nervous that certain colors or designs convey a "coded symbolism"...such as colored handkerchiefs did in the past. A yellow hanky meant "piss play/watersports", Red meant bondage/S&M (I think), etc. Also, where the handkerchief was worn had a symbolism too...
So, I'm wondering if cockring colors or stripes, shapes, and artistic details MEAN something? ...or can I just buy what appeals to me without being worried that I'm sending a message I don't intend to?
