Buying a Strap for son?

There is nothing better then training your son all about jocks like my dad did. I did help out my nephews when they needed a jock or two for school sports. I just wish the sporting good stores would still carry youth size jocks not the briefs with pouch pockets. Sons at young age need to get comfortable in leg straps and pouch and not care about a bare butt.

I agree! I have been wearing straps since I was 12. Almost all my undies are straps. I have a few thongs and that is it!

I have always been open with my son about what I look like naked and how he will get to look more like me when he starts at about age ten, when I started to mature. He has "swiped" my jocks and some of my sexy tight underwear from time to time; when I realize it, I ask if he liked the feel or the look and always encouraged him to tell me what's liked and didn't like. That way I will know what styles of jocks to shop for with him. The summer before his 10 birthday, he and I had an afternoon to run errands and buy guy things. I took him to a sporting goods store that I huge and has nice dressing rooms as well. We went right away to Jocks section and I didn't suggest anything. It wasn't like he had never put on a jock before, just never one of his own. He gravitated to only jocks with a thin waistband and thin leg straps. I suggested he concentrate on the pouch and remember that he would need room as he grew there. He tried on 3, maybe 4 different jocks, keeping his underwear on as the rules require. He looked so great and was so proud. I suggested on the jock that I thought looked best, that he haul out his junk from the fly opening to get a better feel for when he would be wearing it. I must say, it looked great even for an almost 10 yr old just starting the great growth spurt. When I told him how great I thought he looked and asked if that jock was comfy, I saw a boner creating into the little bulge so I knew he was happy. We bought two of those right then, and he went home a happy kid. I suggested, once we decided to buy that particular jock, that he take off his underwear and put on only his new jock. That was like a special treat as I could tell he was boned for much of the drive home. And his reserve jock is already in the laundry room for a pre wearing wash. We are both quite happy with day one of his life with jocks, like me.

( am addicted to collecting anything that is a jock or otherwise covers my junk... I probably add 2 or 3 new items to my jock/undies drawer every week. Much from the internet and the rest from time-consuming trying on of jock after jock etc... Just something that I can't stop doing.... Twice a year I take the items I don't like or have worn thin and leave them in the trees and bushes of a favourite spot to go behind our local manly beach.

In the 70s, my PE teacher wouldn't allow us to put our shorts on so that he could see us in the jockstrap, because many would sew a strap onto their tightly-whities.

Was that shyness about strapping?I used to wear mine over my boxers. That was 1957-8.

So interesting..... I remember well that we all had to shower, we all had to have the special jock that was DICKtated when we bought our gym outfits. Clever about kids sewing their jock into their undies. I often wore two jocks OVER my undies cause I could not control my boners. I remember telling my Dad that I was embarrassed that I always had a rod... he said, and I'll never forget it: don't be embarrassed, be proud". Actually, he was right cause I got tons of looks but never anything negative was said to me. A few kids tried to see my cock in the boys' room and I had no problem letting them look. The kids in my gym classes all knew that I was lucky with my size and often had really secret questions about my dick; I loved it. I ended up having kid jo and suck sessions with 3 good friends and we tried anal too. My gymnastics coach liked calling me into his office to chat before I had a chance to put clothes on, sometimes a jock, other times naked. I didn't know that boxers existed for kids back then. My Dad always wore boxers but I am sure all boys wore jockey type. I assume you wore your strap to hold in your boners? That was always a big problem for me and some other kids.

Well yes boners were frequent at that age, but the real reason was that the gym teachers insisted we be strapped, and always did that check, where you had to pull a leg strap down.

I was large (overall!) For 13, already 5'9" and size 13 shoes. So boxers were adult size añyway.

That’s because as boys we learn we wear white briefs as young boys . Peer pressure we switch to follow our friends boxers which don’t support anything. The boys I’ve come across underwear is just functional. Jocks are far from any boys ages 11-18 for sure.

I hear you when I was in France a few years ago men were shopping together for sexy underwear in this huge department store!!! Rack after rack of sexy underwear made for men! I could not buy enough!

Americans are so prudish about what gets advertised. Jockstraps are sports underwear and yes we have colorful fashion straps. I’ve always said once I saw them at Macys CK jocks. I would have bought these as a teenager. When got the internet at age 18 started buying all my fashion jocks. Ck, 2xist, Pappi jocks among my favorites.
