I told him that I went through that too, and I wore a jockstrap plus my regular underwear to try to hide the tent in my trousers. And also remember my Dad talking to me about that problem. He had known I was wearing a jock every day to school, and surely knew why. We sat down and he said something like: don't ever be ashamed of popping a woody; it's totally natural and normal. Be proud! After that, I had much less worry that kids would see my tent. And I never got a nasty comment. A few friends made fun comments about my boning for some chick, but nothing bad. Later, I shared all of this with my son; he and I have a very, very open relationship about everything, and I am glad how he has developed. Openness and frequent talks and shows are the answer to almost all growing up issues.

You and your son were/are very lucky to have such fathers. My Dad was great in many ways, but no sportsman, and we never had such intimate talks.

Absolutely. Ive never felt more masculine than when I pull a jockstrap up. I work harder and play harder, when I'm strapped. I don't think boys these days experience their full potential.

Father of Fours sons. I have purchased jockstraps for three of my sons (the oldest three only) and I have also purchased for my grandson who is 11 years old now and started Little league at age 9, and will progress to regular baseball soon and is exploring swimming as well and his dad will likely start swimmers jocks for his son. I dated a women with a son for about 5 years. Her son was the same age as my oldest son and at the time I did not have my youngers sons yet (2nd wife did not come along until a good 10 years later). I never lived with that woman I dated ,but I sure did have them sleep over and I slept over at their house as well from time to time. I bought him his first jock an da few afterwards until he was old enough to buy his own. We still talk from time to time as he is friends with my eldest son to this day.

We all have our memory of getting and wearing our first jockstrap, and those of us who are fathers of sons, we have a bonus memory of this rite of passage for our boys, and taking them to buy their first jockstraps and educating them on how to wear them and their uses. I remember the first time I caught my oldest son wearing my jockstrap, he was wearing it backwards and I nearly busted up laughing. I wish you have healthy kids, but a son is an added bonus in my opinion. Have fun with that rite of passage (first jockstrap, puberty/masturbation discovery, erections/retractions, sex the first time etc...)

Man to have been able to go to the Y when was men only- 😍 did love going to swim laps and the ritual of slowly stripping off speedo in the gang showers and hanging on the facuet. Thankfully the lockeroom had the steam and sauna in it so went naked. Just wish was swimming naked as well.

Ever try a nudist resort? Most have pools...some are just for men only...awesome be naked completely for a weekend...or longer visits!

The Bauer & Black swimmer jock in "Deluxe" nylon has one of the best pouches ever for my package. I saw it on eBay about four? years ago for $149? or so and begged the seller to drop it, but alas, it sold.

My dad played a number of contact sports as well as did MMA, so I saw him jocked and cupped from an early age. I remember being 13 or 14 and deciding I wanted to spar. I vividly recall the day we went to a sporting goods store and I bought some sparring trunks and gloves. He then told me to wait a minute and came back with a plastic box containing a BIKE jockstrap and cup. I immediately got hard and had to hide my boner. I've worn jocks ever since.

I recall being on vacation and realizing I didn't bring a swimming suit. I told my dad I would just wear a pair of gym shorts. He always wore a jockstrap with his swim shorts and said he'd lend me one of his to wear for the time being. We later went to a sporting goods store and he bought me a couple jocks. It was an incredible feeling knowing I was wearing a jock that had recently held my dad's junk. A real father-son bonding moment.

This was my first jock purchase for PE starting in Grade 9. Loved the fit and feel.
